[Arthur has spent a bit of time exploring this network, and he's been getting ever more excited over everything, because holy cow, this looks cool, and screw consequences, I have something exciting to play with. So he'll open up a video feed using his webcam. He is grinning broadly, waving merrily, and looking like a kid on Christmas morning.]

HELLO, EVERYONE!

[He'll turn to address the goldfish sitting in a bowl on the table next to him, even going through the trouble to adjust the webcam so the fish is in the shot along with him.]

See, Slippy? I TOLD you it would work! OUTRAGEOUS!

[And then he laughs. It's not a crazy man laugh, but man, this guy is certainly in a good mood.]

[It doesn't take much for Arthur to figure out what the cat wants...not that he even seems at all fazed by encountering a cat on this network.]

Hey, now, kitty, you can't eat Slippy! Why, he's not even in the room with you!

[He looks down at the fish, staring at it as he speaks.]

Steady, old chum, the cat can't get you.

[The fish appears to be reassured by this.]

[And for a moment, it seems like he's getting a response of some sort.]

No, I don't think he did! Nice guy, but numbers are a little beyond him--he's just a goldfish, after all!

He talks to me! All the fish at the store did, really, but this little guy had the most personality out of any of them!

[Why does everyone think drugs are involved with this? First the people at the marine park after he fell into the dolphin tank, now this guy's talking about a fish with a number being trippy...yeah, it's weird, but it's perfectly plausible!]

Well, I can talk to dolphins! And crabs, and starfish, and lobsters, and...anything that swims around, so far!

Pretty new, actually! I fell into a tank full of dolphins, and then the strangest thing happened--I could understand them! And they could understand ME! We had the loveliest conversation until the police made me leave...but ever since then, I've been able to talk with all manner of swimming things!

[Arthur's face lights up when he recognizes Lucas. It's one of the kids on his bus!]

Lucas! What are you doing here?

[He turns to the goldfish.]

[And the fish, who has no idea what's going on because it's just a normal goldfish, waves as instructed.]

[ he barely catches himself from laughing. the result is an undignified snort. ]

That's pretty awesome. Shame the police cut into it. So how're you feeling about being a part of a mysterious cluster of people who have no idea what the hell is going on?

[Shiro is sitting on his couch, quirking a brow at his iPad because his parents spoil the shit out of him. There's a flame-point siamese cat asleep on the back of the couch behind him]

You sure are... uh... excited. Is that a goldfish?

[The word "fish" wakes the cat up and he jumps down on Shiro's shoulder to paw at the screen] Soba! Get off!

[He's really curious as to what the hell a lobster could have to say, other than "Don't throw me in that pot of boiling water!"...but perhaps it's better not to ask.]
