[There's a brunette almost glaring at the screen when it flips on, but you just get a quick flash of the person before he's flipping the camera to a blue and navy flight suit complete with a matching helmet which is laid out on his very messy bed.]

I was going to ignore this but I guess I can't now considering this damn thing showed up on me while outside- in public... does it mean anything to anyone on here?

[He holds the phone on the suit for a moment longer before he's flipping it around to face him again. Deren has his hand up in his hair, resting heavily on it from his somewhat hunched position at his desk. The wall behind him is covered in posters and IKEA style shelving and the room he's in is pretty tiny.]

Also- anyone on here know anything about space and giant robots? I remember a few from when the snake attacked but I have no idea who they are on here and god I have a migraine- just help? [He both looks and sounds exhausted, and a little irritable.]

Avoided eye contact with my Mom for a while. She's never home anyway, so it wasn't too hard. Eventually she caught on and I bullshitted her into thinking it was a medical issue. Went to the eye doctor. Was told nothing was wrong, she wanted to have me checked out some more but because nothing was wrong, we decided to wait.

The wait was long enough for the snake attack, at which point my identity as one of us was revealed. Being a pilot, I was taken in by the government and thus didn't have the luxury of getting to pretend I'm still normal.

[His parents would have flipped if they found out about all this right now. They still will flip if he ever does manage to get that robot back he was inside in those memories.]

You said you had a brother? Is he one of us too?

His name is Shinji my twin brother. Yes, he's one of us. He's a pilot like me, as well. It's all very convenient for the both of us.

Huh- wonder if it runs in the family. I don't have any siblings so I can't test the theory.

It's probably just a coincidence. Lot's of people have siblings that aren't one of us, and plenty of people have siblings who are as well.

Luck of the draw then. I think it's crazy you're both pilots though. At least that's my thoughts from the variety of people on here.

Not only our we both pilots, but we remember each other from our other lives.

Maybe the probability is better among blood relatives? Really no way of knowing. Would need more data.

Now, if you wouldn't mind going into detail about what you remember specifically?

Whoa.. [Now he's very happy he doesn't have siblings. But onto the memories.]

Both were inside one of those robots- I'm assuming here- but one was during a battle? There were metal objects flying around and a few morphed into the shapes of ships and robots around me.

The second was me staring at another robot, a black one was floating in space in front of me and some guy was asking if I intended to fight it. The scenes didn't really seem to go together but the display for the robot was the same.

Does that make any sense?

Well, it sounds like you're a giant robot pilot, to say the least.

Answer me this, though. Inside of your robot, were you submerged in what would seem to be breathable water?

I-.... have no idea? I don't think so? I'm pretty sure I had to wear the flight suit and it came with the helmet.

The helmet tells me all I need to know. That means you and I aren't from the same other life.

There seems to be two different types of robots. The ones myself, my brother, and another girl our age pilots, and the other three robots that were confiscated. Yours is probably the latter if you had a helmet and no breathable water.

Breathable water though- like amniotic fluid? [Thank you science class in high school- probably the only class he actually paid attention to.]

It's the only thing I can think of. That's interesting though... I'm an Engineering major though so I can't think of any way to use it though.

I'm sure an engineering major will come in handy when it comes to understanding a giant machine that seems to defy the laws of physics.

Don't get your hopes up just yet- I just started this semester but if I get any ideas when I get to look at them I'll help. [Get a chance to work on giant robots? Even his not at all altruistic self would put away hours for that!]

[Deren shrugs.] It'd be kind of hypocritical to not take you seriously considering I just fought a toothpick monster earlier today. [He's pretty sure everyone loses the right to be judgmental on this thing just by default.]
