I'll spread my wings [Action/Video]
[The week was drawing to a close and Rakka wasn't feeling very good about it. There was some sort of strange light in the sky above Vegas, whatever it was apparently matched the light that appeared over Locke city. She hadn't seen anything stranger than normal in the city, and her illness had even disappeared in the last few days. Maybe it would even go away finally and she wouldn't have to worry about some sort of weird, angel flu anymore.
Today had even seen Rakka going outside, taking a short walk around the city and doing some odd errands. A soft breeze blew past her as she made her way down a sidewalk towards home. As always she kept her hat on and her hoodie drawn up over it. There was no way she was ready to show her halo just yet. Maybe later, but not now.
She continued walking before something made the student stop and look down. Laying on the sidewalk a few feet in front of her was a ring of keys. Did someone drop them? She couldn't just leave them here, could she? Slowly, after looking to see if anyone was around, she reached down and picked them up.
And promptly collapsed to the ground as she felt a wave of nausea rolled over her. All at once she felt her body temperature spike to high levels. The pain in her back even came back with full force, along with some sort of... pulling feeling that left her unable to get up again.
Oh god, was she dying? This illness was really killing her? Panic quickly set in and Rakka dove for her phone as fast as she could. When the video finally comes on it'll show the girl's pale face on the ground, sweat forming on it as she weakly tries to speak.]
....H-help... Someone please help me...

Yeah, I bet. Having something like that just-- [... proooobably shouldn't say "fucking explode" even if that's accurate] uh, grow outta you like that.
no subject
God, it hurt so much, when I was conscious at least. It's hard... remembering it, but I remember the pain.
no subject
Yeah, it kinda looked like it. Probably better that you don't remember all of that.

[The wings were at least a lot nicer looking then they had first been. They did not drip with blood or grease anymore, and the feathers had been cleaned to avoid staining.
For a long moment, Rakka laid there in silence, possibly long enough for Raye to think she might have fallen asleep until she quietly states,]
This happened to me before. To my other self.

When Rakka goes quiet, she'll do the same. She's just there so Rakka wouldn't have to wake up alone, but if she's too tired to talk then she'll just be a silent presence no problem. When Rakka speaks up again, she blinks.]
Hm? You got a memory of it?
no subject
I remember... I was in this one room, and this other angel was helping me.
[Her brow creased as she tried to remember.]
It was... Reki. She helped me when my wings grew out.
no subject
Damn. But I guess back then you had somebody around who knew what was going on, at least? That had to help out a little.
no subject
[Kind of like right now. It was a strange thought, thinking that all this was happening for a second time to her.]
I guess the other angels went through this too.
no subject
Shit. Turning into an angel sounds like bullshit.
no subject
I guess. Everyone seems nice though.
no subject
Yeah. Never heard of a mean angel.
no subject
This one guy said that Lucifer was an angel once.
no subject
[She looks over, blinking at that comment.]
Yeah... I guess so if you believe that stuff. [She said to the real live angel. But that didn't mean everything had to be true... and there was no way Rakka of all people was worried about THAT. Right?]
But, I mean, he was crazy and everything, so....
no subject
[But there are fallen angels. And that's something she has to keep in mind no matter what.]
It doesn't really matter right now, does it?
no subject
[Sorry, Rakka, she's pretty solidly set on the idea of you not having an evil bone in your body.]
You wanna try to get some more rest? You've gotta be tired after all that.
no subject
In response, Rakka yawns and nods slowly.]
Yeah... I probably should.
no subject
Go ahead. [She settles back into her chair again, stifling the yawn that had come up in response to Rakka's.] You can figure that stuff out when you feel better.
no subject
[The moment her head hits the pillow again, Rakka is out and away. Seems all that talking used up whatever energy she had left.]
