can someone tell me what exactly is outside?

( the handwriting pauses. she's not tried this so far, has been avoiding to trying it despite writings, faces, images appearing where she doesn't want it to appear. wanting to believe that no, this isn't right. )

and if it's something i can avoid on my way home?

( more scribbles, smaller than the previous ones. "does this even work?" "what if it doesn't?" "the library is creepy at night"... )

Nah, I can't hear it over a text, but a lot of other people on here have heard it. Sounds like a wolf howl, right? So far it hasn't been dangerous, just creepy as hell. You should be okay getting home.

no. but it's still weird, don't you think? and when i asked a passing guard earlier, he said he never heard anything.

The guard couldn't hear it because he doesn't have a number. Far as I know, we seem to be the only ones who can hear or sense this stuff. People with numbers, I mean. And yeah, of course it's weird, but everything's been pretty damn weird since the beginning of April.

Anyway, sounds like you got the howling wolf. It should go away in a little while, if it hasn't already.
