People are annoying enough without having to hear every single thing they're whispering about.

[Julian didn't plan on having to deal with snake attacks and getting super hearing back this week. His voice shows he obviously isn't a very happy camper right now, and it's equal parts cranky and demanding.]

I have earplugs but it's not like I can use those all the time. Someone tell me how to make it better.

[He sees that relief, man. Nick leans over to grab the bags of food, then climbs out of the car.]

Come on, let's go find a good spot to eat.

[Julian climbs out of the car and follows Nick. He doesn't seem to want to wait to find a spot though, and grabs one of the bags out of Nick's hand to start eating the food.]

So what's your plan for helping me?

The plan is letting you get used to things being louder now while you don't have fifty million sounds competing for attention.

[...which sounds a lot better than 'I'm going to teach you Tai Chi where it's quiet so you can learn how to focus and not let things overwhelm you, and then use it later.']
