So, I got an echo yesterday! And... seriously I think I just found a game manual from another world!

[He holds up a travel battered old journal. Sheets of parchment are sticking out. Just barely the title can be read: Manual of Justice.]

I mean seriously, listen to this:

"Every ally hurt within a hundred paces adds a power multiplier. At +5, a special move is unlocked that can fell the enemy boss in one hit."

But look at the pages, these aren't modern paper at ALL... and with the splotches I think this was written with a quill and ink, not a pen. This is such a trip!

Apparently it was written by someone named Owain Dark- and he was an artist.

[he turns a few pages and shows... a almost childish doodle of a man with a sword riding a dragon. Said man has spiky blonde hair. Owen... is apparently missing the connection. Damn picky Echos. For now he just finds this all horribly amusing]

What's that word in English... An---anachronism! It's just  a huge book of crazy anachronisms!

So...you think your past self was as much of a geek as you? I mean, it's gotta be his book, right? Belonged to him, at least?

Nice. What dice does it use and is it cursed or can we play it?

But did he know?

Is that like how they found that ancient D20 in Egypt?

This one. Destina Morbid told me about it in Bio.

...Oh, her real name's Madison Smith. She just goes by her goth name because it sounds better. I need a goth name.

Or: perhaps "game manuals" were meant to imitate things of this sort.

...Whatever that - "sort" is.

[Her voice has a bit of cheerful sauce to it, but her body language is more neutral. Peering at that manual of his - she's unsure if she has nearly enough of an opinion to even be speaking non-seriously like that, not the least bit on the subject of actual game manuals, but sure enough it does look a bit older than she expects anything game-related is.]

[A "hrmm" sound. It's a chuckle.]

Your other guy came from a world that played Ancient Dungeons & Dragons, huh?

[His tone's still a joking one - not facetious, but light.] Who's to say it can't be both? Pulling stuff for a game from real life, for all you know.

Not your own, obviously.

The art almost looks like it was drawn by a kid, too. Bit of a weird echo.

That's totally a jrpg of some sort!
....... But why would you write down all of your buffs in a book? I guess some players are more "hardcore." aka, not hardcore and full of free time.
