So, I got an echo yesterday! And... seriously I think I just found a game manual from another world!

[He holds up a travel battered old journal. Sheets of parchment are sticking out. Just barely the title can be read: Manual of Justice.]

I mean seriously, listen to this:

"Every ally hurt within a hundred paces adds a power multiplier. At +5, a special move is unlocked that can fell the enemy boss in one hit."

But look at the pages, these aren't modern paper at ALL... and with the splotches I think this was written with a quill and ink, not a pen. This is such a trip!

Apparently it was written by someone named Owain Dark- and he was an artist.

[he turns a few pages and shows... a almost childish doodle of a man with a sword riding a dragon. Said man has spiky blonde hair. Owen... is apparently missing the connection. Damn picky Echos. For now he just finds this all horribly amusing]

What's that word in English... An---anachronism! It's just a huge book of crazy anachronisms!

It's a book! Or maybe a diary. It's got stories and drawings in it.

...oh and like, 50 pages of names for weapons.

...I dunno. Like, it looks like it's not modern. It's not like fantasy swordsmen had video games.

I've read most of it so I don't THINK it's cursed. But if it's supposed to be a game it's some... unfinished homebrew or something, cuz there's stats all over but no real *rules*.

[Right, and Killian's a llama emperor. Moving on]

And it's not, like, a legitimate bestiary?

It's pretty organized, but I can't really tell what's supposed to be serious and what's just... stories, ya know? It's not a professional publication though, that's easy to tell.

So like an expansion or something, then?

Maybe? It's full of stories and like, actual journal entries too. So I really don't know.

[He blushes, making his freckles stand out. but other then pouting a little he makes no sign of snapping again. He can't judge- he kinda has notebooks full of short stories hidden in his room]

S'not a sword, but I guess it's alright.

Well, it's easier to read then that, but yeah, basically!

Though dude... what if it IS in code? Like, a hidden cipher?

[he grins to himself, hiding it behind a hand. He hasn't shown Killian his sword yet- and he doesn't plan to until his uncle can look at it. Like a surprise]

Or maybe I'm totally off and I'll get a rocket launcher.

Hidden meanings snuck in something else? That'd be pretty awesome. Maybe you'll remember the key next?

Whoa, this is the first I've heard about this!
