So I know I'm new, but these statues are pretty much a bad thing, right? I went to the thing with my parents and it was super freaky. They usually have taste and an instinctive knee-jerk hatred for corporate anything. And also, y'know, evil. But getting rid of stuff that's in the middle of a gallery is pretty hard.

So does anyone know how they, y'know, work? Because if it's electronic... there are ways to mess with that. They're kinda jaily ways, but ways. And even if it didn't make the statues stop working, screwing up the electronic stuff at the building they're in would probably keep people away from them, right?

If it is electronic, I don't think it's anything we're used to. When we busted up the one in the Dead District, it was like it exploded, setting off this huge beam of light.

I don't think that totally precludes it? I mean, there's gotta be some kinda system that's putting out some kinda signal. Electronics would break the best, but it might still be messed with if I did what I'm thinking of.

Like a radio waves or something like that?

What are you thinking of?

I don't know what frequency mind control rays would need, but transmissions aren't magic. They use energy and have waves.

Something that triggers flashbacks of other people's lives when you touch is is though.

Any magic sufficiently analyzed is science.

Only for a very specific definition of magic.

...It's kind of an inversion of a quotation from a book. Nevermind.

I know. But everyone keeps going on about science and magic like they know shit about either. Magic isn't just shit you can't explain. It has it's own rules and things to figure out. It's like switching between AD&D and White Wolf games. You can't use one set of rules for the other, but they each have rules and logic to them.

Despite what you hear about whitewolf.

That's the theory. Assuming it is magic, and not just science we don't know already. But quantum physics and traditional physics don't sync up either, and we don't really know how quantum physics work, but we can still look at it and deal with it at a limited level, and someday we will.

As long as you don't rule out the possibility of one trying to make it be the other.

But I can't see why you wouldn't treat them the same way. The scientific method works for everything.

Is science your answer to everything?

I mean, it pretty much works, and I'm not good at anything else. If I encounter any problems I can solve with reading comic books or finding weird old records at thrift stores, I'll give it a shot.

Comic books can be pretty handy for coming up with solutions! Where else are you going to find situations like this?

Okay, first we get a transmogrifier and turn into small stuffed tigers...

Would be better to use the multiplier. Or just blast off into space~

Yeah, lemme get some cardboard out of the basement. I don't think I ever got around to tossing the microwave box.

Would be awesome if that worked. And no less nuts than anything else that's going on.

Oh, yeah, it's the kind that goes over the stove, so I can fit in there if I scrunch. I'm kinda little. Then we can go back in time and bring back dinosaurs.

That would be awesome.

Though it's gonna be hard getting the dinosaurs in the box to bring back.

Yeah, we have to be happy with compies. I hope they actually spit acid or something.

Long as it's not at any of my stuff. Though could you imagine the damage they would do if you set them loose in the right place?
