So I know I'm new, but these statues are pretty much a bad thing, right? I went to the thing with my parents and it was super freaky. They usually have taste and an instinctive knee-jerk hatred for corporate anything. And also, y'know, evil. But getting rid of stuff that's in the middle of a gallery is pretty hard.

So does anyone know how they, y'know, work? Because if it's electronic... there are ways to mess with that. They're kinda jaily ways, but ways. And even if it didn't make the statues stop working, screwing up the electronic stuff at the building they're in would probably keep people away from them, right?

If it is electronic, I don't think it's anything we're used to. When we busted up the one in the Dead District, it was like it exploded, setting off this huge beam of light.

I don't think that totally precludes it? I mean, there's gotta be some kinda system that's putting out some kinda signal. Electronics would break the best, but it might still be messed with if I did what I'm thinking of.

Like a radio waves or something like that?

I don't know what frequency mind control rays would need, but transmissions aren't magic. They use energy and have waves.

Something that triggers flashbacks of other people's lives when you touch is is though.

It's not electronic, unless it's some crazy nanoparticle shit. We broke a big one of them, and it just sort of stopped glowing and shot up a pink explosion. The remains of the thing didn't seem to have any electronics in it at all, just stone.

Wonder if I could still mess with crazy nanoparticle shit. I mean, breaking stuff is easier than understanding it...

Even if they were electronic, I don't know if that's worth the risk. I'm pretty sure they're being watched closely.

Well, I wasn't really thinking I'd break in. I don't know how to do that, anyway. But, like, something near the building... But that's the jaily part, and making sure nothing nearby got hit would be hard.

Even if it's just the outside of the building, don't you think they'd be watching that, too? Particularly since some of us destroyed the last ones.

I guess. But we have to do something, right? It was worth it to get rid of the last one...

I don't know...I mean, the "buy from Thunder Corp" thing is creepy but if that's the most damaging message they're using so far...

I just don't want us to end up digging a bigger hole for ourselves.

If it stays like that it's not much worse than some commercials, I guess, but it's kind of a principle thing? Even if they were just making people pick dandelions or take their vitamins, I wouldn't like it.

I don't like it either. But if you're going to do something like that, you have to ask yourself if it's worth putting you and your family in danger.

It can't be electronics. The other statue had nothing of the sort within it.

Bet nobody kept any of it, either. I mean, that'd be creepy, but maybe useful. ...But, then, it's not like I could go ask my mom's all-engineer book club for help like I usually would.

I'm not sure it occurred to anyone to do such at that time. Which considering it now was an unfortunate thing.

With everyone that was occurring then though, I'm little surprised.

As for the ones on display currently, getting near them or finding some way t fiddle with the building itself would prove difficult, I imagine. Despite whatever it is that comes off of them, they are decently guarded.

And there are really more practical ways to mess with the building if that's what we wanted.

Less in-depth ways, that's for certain. Though those ways would be a bit more precarious.
