[ Banagher's found himself a little bit of free time at the library on Pierre-Simon, meaning he's taking a break from sorting through the insanity of the return bin to card through a few old books in search of some kind of meaning to assign to the words he can't seem to keep quiet in his head.

On the back of a forgotten, yellowing library punch card he finds tucked away in a book, he starts copying down things in no order, just to remember—first up is the sequence of numbers that's equally persistent. He'd never thought to put them down physically before, here or otherwise, by the virtue of the fact that he doesn't feel like he'll forget them anytime soon. Thusly: ]

[ It's early evening, the time when all the streetlamps begin to wink to life outside and natural sunlight is exchanged for halogen. He's currently seated in the lower level of the library at one of the broad cherry wood tables, chin in hand, mindlessly scribbling on the punch card. There's an assortment of papers spread across the table's corner, dotted with books and pens, suggesting he's been at this for a bit. While usually a diligent worker, he seems pretty distracted.

Don't happen to need a book or the use of a computer, do you? ]

(ooc. this is his first use of the network, but if you're going for action and your character is a frequent visitor to the library or a high school/uni student, you're welcome to assume cr!)

Sort of. Not dreams, though.

Switching paper [ The words briefly run together before a pause produces properly spaced letters again. ] What was it?

[[Bakura takes the opportunity to switch to a fresh page in his note book as well. ]]

Not really sure. Just something that I keep thinking of.

[[There's an idle line of doodles that starts in the margin. A half moon with 5 spines behind it. A smiling face with 5 pointed teeth. A circle with five lines radiating out from it in all directions. Then a more detailed sketch of a hand, fingers splayed out]]

[ Banagher is content to watch the ink appear on paper for as long as it takes the doodles to shape, resting his cheek against his knuckles. ]

[ He pens an arrow towards the drawings. ]

Yeah.

I think it might be all one thing. I'm not sure.

It's the same for me.

What I keep trying to write down... that's not all of it. Not even close.

But it's all you can recall of it, huh? Stuck in your head the same as the number was.

At least the number made me realize I wasn't alone. In all of this.

When it happened, it felt like the kind of thing that I wouldn't be able to explain to anyone, even if I wanted to...

Do you think that's why this exists?

I'm not sure. It's something to link all of us for some reason. I'm just not sure if we can figure that reason out yet. Too early in the game to tell.

[ That gets him to smile a bit. Absently, he draws a little swirl of a galaxy on the page. ]

Even if we don't have a reason, I'm glad it's here.

All kinds! Especially RPGs. You?
