[open] I went window shopping today! I bought four windows!
Who: Owen Thalberg (Owain) and You!
When: 2/21, after school!
Where: The golden calf of commerce (aka the Mall)
What: What do loser teenagers with no dates, no car, and too young and dorky to drink do on Friday nights? BUM AROUND THE MALL. Basically a general 'hey let's cr Owen, what a tool' log.
There was a benefit to being young and yet easily accessing pretty good disposable income: shopping. The Channel definitely didn't earn him and Winry a livable wage, and being minors it went to their aunt and uncle. But a good amount came right back to their pockets. And so for someone with no REAL job Owen always seemed to have blow money. And unlike his sister he so did love to spend it.
He'd end up spending most of the evening in the Mall, buying toys and games and comics and tacky brightly colored hats. Oh and looming around the blade kiosk- considering the owner already got in trouble once for selling to him without an ID, he wasn't exactly wanted there anymore. Oops
((OOC: basically a big 'hey Owen's gonna come bother you!' log. Feel free to poke him in any of the various locations or just have your character somewhere and I'll poke you. Everyone needs obnoxious exchange students refusing to take social hints at them))

But he does keep some of it back for himself and today is his mall day. So far he has gotten a new pair of boots (stables will seriously mess your shoes up) and a soft pretzel.
He has no idea Owen is anywhere near]

Killian! Yo!

Christ, Owen, don't do that.
[He bends down to get his bag before looking up and giving the kid a look.]
If I dropped my pretzel you'd be buying me a new one.

[What is personal bubble, so glancing in the bag as Killian moves to pick it up]
Are those shoes? I've been meaning to get new shoes.

And she has the excuse of wanting to find a nice return present for the Valentine's things that she got from Ã…sa. So she's looking around and checking out basically all stores that are not extremely expensive and don't sell only men's clothes. ...and that aren't so small that one would easily be approached by an employee.]

Owen zooms by- and in an attempt to miss the woman ends up crashing into the railing around the foodcourt, flipping over it, and into a chair.
The cause is obvious now that he's not moving: somehow he found a pair of heelys. WTF Owen what is this 1995?]

Siiri does her own to not be run over by him and almost crashes into the display before her, and then whirls around, rushing over to him to see if he's okay. What happened. She doesn't even notice the wheels as she leans over him.
....Have a deep glare levelled right at you from above. Looming is her default mode, after all.]

Ah darn... I died, an angel is here for me... what a way for a hero to go...

And oh oops he kinda had an Icee too. Had]
Whoa!!

Okay no.
Once Abby felt a certain bump next to her, she was going to quickly apologize when she landed on the floor. However, when she felt a certain drink was landing straight into her pants?]
...Oh c'mon, I just got those pants last week! Now they're all ruined! How am I going to get the stain out?
[And there goes her properties!]
no subject
Oh shitshitshit I'm so sorry!!

Fil could always buy new drafting pencils, but those were expensive. The pencils and the toys would be cheaper.
Currently he's trying to decide between the 60 pack coloured pencils or the 80 pack coloured pencils. There's also a basket filled with toys near his feet; he'd weed them out later for the one or two he'll actually buy and put the rest back.

Whoa... those are super cute.
[No sarcasm or judgement- but honest curiosity]
no subject
Huh? Oh, thanks. Those are for my younger cousins. I hope they're cute enough for them.

Picking up several packs of bread from the basket, he checks to make sure they're edible before deciding which to buy. ]

Mmfph mrr!
no subject
Hey, that bread is stale. Don't eat it.

He tilts his head curiously]
Any good?
no subject
Ah yes, it's fairly good. A teenage girl discovers she is the reincarnation of Jeanne D'Arc, and must become a phantom thief to seal off artwork that's been possessed by the Devil. Of course, she has magical powers to help along with that. Interesting, right?

She's not really paying much attention to her surroundings, much more interested in exiting this store and reaching the one she's got in mind. Her attention is quickly captured, however, by some blond boy with-- Wow, those are the absolute nerdiest purchases she's ever seen anyone holding.
She can't quite stop herself from wrinkling her nose at him, nor the small sound of disgust that escapes her.]
Great...

--Cool. Yes. Attempt to act cool.]
...Hello? Can I help you?
