[ Marina's sitting on her bed, laptop on her crossed legs, making the video a little wobbly. The wall behind her has some popular band poster or another - she rotates the spot above her bed fairly often - and she looks relaxed. More than she usually does when Numbers stuff is involved, at least.

She drums her fingers on the laptop. ]

Anyone here have a sword?

[ Very serious about this. ]

Other me had a sword, and Anais has a sword here, and other her had a sword back there. I figure I can get an echopulsething if I like, grab a real sword? Or learn how to use it? I'm not just crazy thinking that, right?

[ Actually looking for Echoes is new for her too. ]

So, I guess what I'm saying is, if anyone would like to help? Um, promise I won't, like, get myself hurt either, okay? Thanks. You're great.

It's probably magic armor. If a magic dress does the job, and armor does the job, just imagine magic armor!

I imagine that's probably the case. [She taps her chin with a pen eyes drifting up as she thinks.] Though I still need to figure out just how much my transformed state can take. I am less... into the thought of throwing stuff at me as I am throwing stuff at other things to test that, however.

Oh man... [ Umi grins at... the thought of throwing things at someone and seeing if they bounce off... ]

[She lowers the pen, shaking her head, resisting a roll of her eyes.] No. I think I'll just rely on trying not to get hit for now, I can move pretty fast.

But when we were fighting the snake, I think the velocity at which I-- [She stops like a deer in headlights, and her eyes look much like that. Finishing that sentence with "tackled Winter to the ground" is probably not the best thing to go forward with. Of course, she also realizes she's stopped talking. And is on video.] --err, I knocked Winter out of the way when it was attacking her. I moved across the distance fast and strong enough to make the ground behind me explode, but didn't break anything like I think I probably would have moving that fast untransformed.

Like I've been saying. I need to test these things.

[ Jumped on Winter? The pause is super duper suspicious and Marina has to resist the temptation to ask about it immediately. ]

R-right, so... you've got a lot of speed and power, and you're strong enough that you don't, like, punch so hard that your arm explodes, which would make super strength real fucking useless.

You need a way to test it though.

Yeah, I'm ... working on that one. I've got space set for it now, it's just a matter of going over the logistics.

[There are lots of charts and graphs.]

My 'logistics' would be finding a big thing and hitting it until something gives.

Well, there's finding the big thing, and then transporting it somewhere secure, and... probably a lot of other details you don't want to hear, I'm imagining.

Well, I'll take that as a compliment, at least. Probably better than some things I've been described as.

All things considered, I don't doubt that for an instant. Wouldn't be hard, either.

Like I said, probably not that hard to find insults. I'm a nerd who spends half her free time buried in a library, and what social circle I managed to acquire I've been avoiding for several months because I know aliens are coming to kill us and I had a past life where I was a magical girl, but all they know is that I've seemingly become even more of an anti-social shut in.

Point yourself in their direction, I'm sure you could find plenty of insults, because teenage girls can be pretty terrible.

[ ~~She can be so much worse~~. ]

Right... nerdy, weird social life... magical powers... and yeah, I can be terrible.

[ SHRUG. The truth is the truth. ]
