video
[ Marina's sitting on her bed, laptop on her crossed legs, making the video a little wobbly. The wall behind her has some popular band poster or another - she rotates the spot above her bed fairly often - and she looks relaxed. More than she usually does when Numbers stuff is involved, at least.
She drums her fingers on the laptop. ]
Anyone here have a sword?
[ Very serious about this. ]
Other me had a sword, and Anais has a sword here, and other her had a sword back there. I figure I can get an echopulsething if I like, grab a real sword? Or learn how to use it? I'm not just crazy thinking that, right?
[ Actually looking for Echoes is new for her too. ]
So, I guess what I'm saying is, if anyone would like to help? Um, promise I won't, like, get myself hurt either, okay? Thanks. You're great.
At least you guys with swords.

[ She needs a sword that doesn't look so anime. ]
Anyways I should have my own soon enough.

Look, do you want details on what happened in mine? Since you were there in... all of them. Even if I told you specifically what people were saying, it could trigger something, right?
And you're less likely to stab yourself, so I'm less likely to crack under pressure.

Yeah, go on. [ Sigh. ] I guess we're kinda stuck with dealing with each other because of all these memories and shit.

The third one you already know about. And the fourth one was on a floating mountain. A giant bird with four wings spoke to me and told me to prove I had the strength of heart to don him. His name was Windom. [She takes a deep breath it sounds so dumb, and just like something Marina would hold over her forever because her past life was ridiculous.] There was a girl with us with bright red hair named Hikaru. While we were separated and I was with the bird, Hikaru and Umi--her and you I guess--were confronted by a tanned woman with pink hair in some kind of Arabian-ish getup, called Caldina. She managed to control you two and was using you to attack me.
So Fuu had to come up with something right? And it was called Binding Winds--and it didn't hurt you guys or anything. Just immobilized. But then Caldina took over her. [She doesn't realized she's switched from "me" to "her".] And she tried to make her kill Umi and Hikaru, and she was freaking out. She knew they were sitting ducks and everything, so she had to break the mind control. So she remembered that the place they were in was controlled by willpower. So when she realized she was willing to die for them, she was able to break out of the spell and attack Caldina instead. But Calinda wasn't going to die for who she was working for. She said she was doing it for the money. She asked if we'd known each other long, and I said no--and something like... something dumb...
Time is of little consequence to the heart. And we just had more to learn about each other and that's the best part of being friends? Sappy stupid stuff. And she went off and the giant bird was like. [She's mimicking a booming, deep voice.] Legendary Magic Knight, you have proven the strength of heart with what you feel for your friends. But you're not ready to team up. Peace. And turned into a giant robot and then shrunk into magic and went into a jewel in my sword or armor or something.
And it was all really surreal like an old video game from like the 90s. A really bad video game from the 90s.
And somebody called Zagato. Caldina was working for Zagato. And something about this Princess's prayers keeping the world intact. And that there was something more important at stake than Cefiro. Which is where we were.
Look it was a lot of information and my head is still kind of reeling about it.

Slamming into her all at once.
They talked about... the three of them talked about it being like an RPG, that was a memory that hit her clear as day, and apparently... time didn't matter? Not for them. Somehow, she knew that she... that Umi would gladly throw herself into danger time and again for Hikaru and Fuu, as little sense as that made to Marina, as crazy as risking your life for such new acquaintances should be. ]
An...ais... [ She mumbled. ] Zagato. [ The bad guy. Princess kidnapper; someone more important than just a princess, even, and he was holding her, keeping her from her duties that were vital to this world, and they had to go after him. Fight him - kill him? That's what you did to the final boss.
Windom though. A Mashin, an elemental god turned giant robot, or... something like it, and she knew she had her own too. Celes. A dragon. The power of water; and more, waking from a trance, Hikaru and Fuu battling a midget summoner, Umi saving them and... basically giving the midget (kid?) a lot of shit for it because the monsters were his friends...
...
...Marina's eyes rolled back, and then her body fell back, and there was a loud thump followed by a quiet groan. ]

Holy shit. She just killed someone, didn't she?]
Marina? Marina?!

For a good long moment, nothing. A minute at least, long enough for Anais to panic, easily, of Marina laying there, not enough of her in sight of the camera for Anais to see whether or not she's even breathing, too far from the microphone for it to pick up her soft groans of pain. ]
