Hajime tried to avoid getting constricted as best he could. He was covered in a lot of pointy bits, but he didn't think that was going to help his chances against something made from stone. He tried rolling away from the snake's coils, but it still manage to catch his right leg.

The big bug snarled furiously as he tried to free himself, and he settled for trying to punch the thing as hard as he could. With any luck, a crack or two would get it to let his leg go. Just a crack wouldn't destroy it to the point of blowing everyone up, right?

"We need to get it out of here!" Kari called out during an interlude. She bit more comments back to keep singing at it. Ugh, that buzzing. She'd thought she was free of that.

After the snakes showed themselves Soren took a few moments to regroup with his sister and send off a couple of texts; once that was done (and his sister was riding on his back like an idiot but whatever, it wasn't too terrible) he took to the air to try and see if there was somewhere he would be helpful, anything he could actually do. He knew from experience that he couldn't lift the larger snakes, but that smaller one trying to squeeze that bug guy was something he might be able to do something about...

He floated himself down, glowing with a red and blue aura, looking at both of them before speaking up. "I can probably move it, I can throw it out of the way or outside or something?" He wasn't too sure where to put the thing or how to grab it without also grabbing the guy it was wrapped around the leg of though.

"How do you plan to get it outside?" Aria actually got back enough telekinetic power to lift herself off the ground when the snakes burst in, but she's not exactly well practiced at it. She's only half focused on that remark to Soren, as she tries to keep herself balanced and out of the way. She's not against the "let's throw the snake" plan, she just...well, they're in a basement.

"Let's try throwing it against a wall." ..............Apparently her plans aren't much more advanced at the moment, but hey. "Or we can try to hold it in place for you guys to do..."

Whatever they're doing. Magical girl and bug monster attacks.

"If you throw it anywhere, don't worry about me!" Hajime continued struggling to get his leg free. Actually, no, he did not want to get thrown anywhere, but previous experience had taught him that he was one resilient cockroach-man. He snarled viciously as he hit the snake again. His leg was starting to get painful, and he was being held at an odd angle that was not helping with his attempts at punching the snake. "I could get a better angle on this thing if I were loose..."

"Karate chop it!" shouts Annika from on Soren's back. She's pretty helpful.

"Punch it in the face! Soren, just fucking throw it already!"

The punches of One Resilient Cockroach-Man indeed hurt -- as much as a statue could hurt, anyway. Regardless, cracks appeared with each punch Hajime landed, spreading and giving way whenever his fists landed in an already cracked spot. The next punch Hajime delivered resulted in a crater the size of his fist.

Oblivious to the reincarnates' plans to throw it against a wall, the snake focused on squeezing the fight out of Spiky Bugman so it could go after Irritating Buzzing Girl. In order to achieve the latter goal quicker, it started snapping its jaws, trying to bite down on whatever part of Hajime it could reach.

Hajime barely had a chance to feel pretty awesome about himself for inflicting a crater upon that snake before it chomped down on something. That something was the large spike jutting out of his right wrist. "Oh, come on..." Hajime snarled another threat at it in his monster language--not that the snake would be able to understand, but it made him feel better--and took a wild swing at that crater. The snake was now holding him at a very awkward angle, and it wouldn't be at all surprising if he missed his mark.

Soren was hesitant to throw the snake when it was holding onto Hajime, even after he said to do it anyway, but when it looked like the snake really wasn't going to let go at all he glanced back at Aria. "Okay let's just throw it at the wall for now, maybe it can get knocked out or something?" Because statues can totally be knocked out, all right. Definitely.

"Let's give it a shot," She agrees, easily enough. Considering they can now between them throw up to a thousand pounds of whatever around, this should be an interesting adventure in doing things. "Might make it let him go." She's already glowing red, so she'll just...point at the snake, waiting for Soren to join in. "On three."

He nods before summoning up his own psionics, flashing red and blue once again and raising his hand as well to focus it. "Okay. One... two... three!" And assuming she's with him, he summons up all of his power on three, lifting the snake (and presumably Hajime with it) with most of the strength he can muster and flinging it towards the wall.

Aria's fully in time with Soren for this one, which creates a really neat red-blue-red flashing effect around the snake (and Hajime, unfortunately, unless he gets himself away while this happens). Hopefully strobe effects don't bother anyone in the basement, because they're an unfortunate side effect of telekinetics. Or at least the ones they practice.

There's only a slight falter from Aria after they toss the snake, as she shoots Soren a glance with a half-started expression - echo, again - before turning her attention back to their stone victim.

Hajime couldn't say he was happy with the fact that they'd gone ahead and hurled both him and the snake at the wall. Still, he couldn't get loose, and he had effectively asked for it in the hopes he'd be able to free his aching leg.

He was a bit dazed from the impact. It caused him to jerk his wrist blade free from the snake's mouth, that was something. But he was stunned enough not to try to pull his leg free from the snake's coils right away. That might have been a mistake. He was bleeding green from a few spots now and looking tired for a horrible giant bug, kind of swaying as he tried to pull away from the snake for a moment to recover from having the wind violently knocked out of him.

INSERT CRASHING-THROUGH-WALL SOUND EFFECT OF CHOICE HERE because that is exactly what happened when Aria and Soren telekinetically threw the snake (with Hajime) at the wall. The force of the action blew a hole straight through the wall of Elian's basement.

Luckily, they were in a basement so instead of crashing onto the lawn, the snake-bug combination instead kept going several feet through the earth before it lost momentum. It was still for a moment, and then it completely released Hajime. As soon as Hajime was out of its grasp, the statue started winding back towards the basement, faster than its larger fellows and sporting new cracks all over its surface.

"Yeah! Nailed it!" she shouts, pumping her fists in the air before slapping Soren's arm.

"Take that snake-holes!"

Annika, stop being such a weirdo. Soren has a somewhat confused look on his face when Aria glances his way, distracted a little by his own echo, but his attention is quickly brought back to the snake. It letting go of Hajime is definitely a good thing, but when it moves and he notices the cracks his expression changes to a little bit of concern, even as he lifts himself off the ground to stay out of its reach.

"Maybe we shouldn't throw it any more though, we don't want to kill it right? Or it'll blow everything up?"

"Um, yeah, maybe we should...not. We need to figure out a way to get it outside." She glances at the bug-man and the magical girl. Surely they have to have a better idea for that. "If you guys have a plan, you have our - well, throwing-stuff, on your side."

Otherwise she's pretty sure that blowing it up down here while they are also down here is a really bad plan.

Hajime had, by this point, pulled himself to his feet and dragged himself out of the crater. He was limping badly, favoring the leg the snake had been trying to crush. "We need to get it outside somehow." He tried not to show any obvious sign of fatigue other than the limp. "If you could hold it in place, I could throw something at it to finish breaking it...dunno if that'd be a good idea if it explodes..."

"We can hold it in place without any problems," Aria assured Hajime, though she double-checked the statement with another look at Soren. It would just be the opposite of throwing something, wouldn't it? "So we just need to figure out how to get it outside in order to, you know, facilitate you breaking it the rest of the way."

They could always try throwing it up the stairs but that might be a bad idea, also. "Think we can get it to chase one of us?"

"Can we just carry it up the stairs?" It's kind of ridiculous but it might work right?

"Or yeah, we could probably let it chase one of us cause we could fly out of the way to not get hurt right? That should be pretty safe...""

"I'd volunteer to be chased, but I don't think I'd be moving fast enough." Hajime did not sound happy about that prospect. He was still not wanting to put much weight on the leg and wondering just how long it would take his crazy bug monster healing powers to kick in fully. "Just get me something big and heavy enough to throw at it once you've got it outside."

Soren glances over his shoulder at his sister before shrugging. "I don't mind being the one to lead it away but Annika'll have to stay here." No way is he risking his sister too.

"I don't mind either, but I think you're a bit better at the flying thing for the moment. I can keep Annika off the ground, though." That much, at least, she can do if they're actually going to bait the snake outside. And then hold it still. And also give Hajime something heavy to throw at it.

That's their plan, right? Aria is on board with this plan.

Annika's grip around her brothers neck tightens as she leans her chin on his shoulder so everyone can see her frown.

"What?! No way!"

She is not going to get left behind while Soren does something so risky.

"No, it's the best way, you just stick with Aria." He's already trying to push her off even so he can go.
