town meeting, alien breaking hoa rules

What: The Numbers discuss how to go about addressing the alien in the farmhouse. Nothing could go wrong, certainly?

Annika's grip around her brothers neck tightens as she leans her chin on his shoulder so everyone can see her frown.

"What?! No way!"

She is not going to get left behind while Soren does something so risky.

"No, it's the best way, you just stick with Aria." He's already trying to push her off even so he can go.

Babby snake meanwhile is knocking someone off of their feet as it slithers towards- well, who knows? But it seems to have a purpose.

"No!" she shouts holding him tighter. "私を取り残されたら死刑よ! Just have Aria carry the stupid thing!"

If she's aware she just spoke in a different language it doesn't show.

Soren just gives her a weird look before continuing. "Aria's right though, I can fly better because I've done it for longer, so you should stay here and I'll distract it!" He doesn't even notice that the snake seems to be making some kind of beeline for something, too caught up in arguing with his sister.

"It's getting away," Hajime grumped as he limped after it. He wasn't moving too fast, but he was still trying to keep up with it, to distract it somehow. He picked up a small piece of rubble and hurled it at the snake. He wasn't aiming to hit it, only to distract it somehow, to stop it from heading for whatever it was heading for. "Make up your minds."

Okay, right, snake statue. Soren thinks for only a moment longer before flying after it and the bug man. If Annika wasn't going to cooperate then he would just have to distract it with her.

"You'd better not get hurt," he tosses over his shoulder at her, before watching the statue to decide how best to distract it and lead it away.

Kari followed them up as soon as her last line in the song was done. She knew she couldn't trigger it to explode without causing too much damage, but if the others were attacking it to keep it off its track...

"Good luck, kid," she said with a head over her shoulder at Soren. Then, back at the snake, "Cutie☆Hot Pitch!"

That would hurt it, at least, even if it stopped the buzzing sensation for now.

Kari's attack hits the snake during its escape, propelling it forward into a group of three adults!
