[Ever since his run-in with some Blood Keys, Suzaku's been on the mend. That's natural and of course, entirely normal. But it's also frustratingly, uselessly slow. Things are happening around him that he can't do anything about. Or rather, he can't do anything about them without popping his recently-acquired seams.

However, there's only so many things he can hold off from doing. Training is certainly not one of those things, and so he's investing his time making sure he doesn't become entirely useless by the time he's fully recovered.

Shame he can't go to the dojo like this, but his front yard will do]

[ the sad part is... it's kind of true.

but Van's smile is now soft. looks like he got through to Suzaku after all. ]

[Suzaku's quiet for some time after that, until he's plonking a bowl of food down on the counter in front of Van. Chopsticks included, naturally]

Shouldn't be too heavy for training after.

[ the only reason that he still uses chopsticks. this guy... right here. ]

[Van gets some canned green tea too before Suzaku collects another bowl sitting beside the stove]

[ he snorts, running a hand through his hair. ]

Man, if I had known you'd do all of this shit, I would have started coming over on Saturdays sooner.

It's just lunch.
