Nineteenth Message [Text -> Video | Sheet of Paper]
[Last message seemed to be a reminder that it may be advisable not to jump straight into visual connection without some sort of warning or heads-up preface.
Is unsure what a clear enough heads-up would be, deliberates a moment - and then pens in - ]
This is Anthony Janvier (the zombie). [It's a ridiculously silly thing to write but the warning's clear!] I am changing to video.
[Another pause - and connects directly with a rough - ] - Excuse - me - ... [A little thick and choppy - quick flick of his eyes down in a sense that's part additionally apologetic and part plain a tad restless.]
-- How umm -
-- If I may ask - how - [A little hoarse, this is not meant to sound critical as much as it is curious but he'd not be fretting that if it wasn't out of some subconscious, latent opinionated though - ] -- sure we are - of the -- past life or - alternate - reality - theories.
[That punctuation's not an error. It's entirely uninflected, held tense along a line, as is everything else just a little faintly, has no idea how much presumption could've been read into that.]

Honestly, I'm not sure I want to know what it says about me if this is all stuff my brain's making up on its own...

And I think even fragments of memories aren't something you just make up like that. It'd be something else entirely if we were only getting objects that could come from anywhere.

[Voice hushed to a drag and trail off - nearly apologizes but reels it back, see if it's taken as argumentative first. Opts instead for an - ] - I umm. I know how it sounds...

Mebbe ten years, twenty years in the future since the tech's similar but yet some other things are not. [alternate earths, infinite possibilities, and a life less than good, those were his theories since he started seeing more of the other's world.]
Why do you ask?

[This is in fact a passive way of saying he's not sure he buys either of the common theories, won't press it unless unquestionably prompted.]

Did you have something else in mind...?

Sheepish cough. How to present this...] -- I -- ...uhm.
[Be subjective. It's a theory and it's going to sound like a reaching one, at least at the current stage.] -- It keeps, uhm. -- Seeming to me like this is deliberate - and all -- so many supernatural things have already happened; I don't, umm.
-- I don't - think - that - ...
- I don't - know if the people who, we're - seeing as have to have already existed; maybe something has a -- concept in mind for each of us and is -- changing us deliberately - ...
[Uncertain waver and bow-out at the end of the phrase.]
Sorry, sir - [For the bumbling and length of it - and, again, subconscious opinionatedness.]

The idea of alternate realities is also a valid theory. It seems a bit more likely in my case, as Queen Victoria, to my knowledge, did not have werewolves at her beck and call in this world :)
[Text]
Do you think that the things that we're seeing have to have really happened (if you don't mind me asking, sir)?

Yes. The two main theories that people seem to have is that we are changing to reflect people who we were in past lives or people who lived in alternate realities.

If it is past lives, mine was not on this world. And why only one if there are infinite lives to take memories from? [he's Hindu, he's just going to take the infinite reincarnations as a given.]
I wonder if they all are fake, to be honest. Stories made up by whatever gives us these pulses.
[Text]
The first part of it seems to also imply openness to the alternate realities theory - and the second one's a fine point...
And there's a little ring in his brain on the last one, as yes, that's just what he wonders themselves, unsure if he would be looking like he's trying something given past interactions if he out-and-out said so - ]
I wonder that, also. [Never mind, then. Fidgets with his pen - elaborating, giving more of a response might help, one way or another...]
I wish that there was a way to know["What our changes"... "Indicate"? "Reflect"? Gives up, strikes the sentence, do it over.] I am curious how what each of us receives is decided, but I think that what is happening to us feels purposeful.[He has always thought that. Inclusion of the word "always" would probably put egg on his face whether it came off as absurd or smug.]
