Expect nothing.
Who: Davin Caster (
dorkytracksuit) & Magdalene de Leon (
bibliofilo)
When: Jan 4
Where: Online
What: These two have been guild mates going on a year now. Time they find out they are both embroiled in the same mess.
Warnings: N/A
[It had been a while since Maggie had logged on. Her hands had taken a while to heal after her encounter with the Blood Keys, but they felt good enough now that gaming shouldn't be too much of an issue.
In all honesty with everything she had learned this past month she couldn't really say she would have paid it much attention anyway. There was just so much going on, so much to learn, that it had been hard to concentrate on anything else for a while.
Yet there was something nice about coming back. There was something nice about logging back on to the guild's ventrilo server to see the different channels filled with familiar screen names. Getting whispers in game asking where she had been, what was up, different people asking for advice. She took her time to answer them all back before entering one channel with a single other person.]
Hey there.

Hey there.

I...
[He's so embarrassed, his friend now knew everything about him he tried to keepsecret in his online acquaintances. What if she didn't like him anymore?]
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. To worry you.

Hey, it's ok. Did everything turn out fine..?
no subject
..Yeah. I mean they took me to someplace outside the city so, by the time we got there it was.. Well. You know.
What about you? Is that why you haven't been around?
no subject
[The explanation still confuses her a bit] I know people said that you forget everything about the echos and the network when you leave. So...so. What did that mean for you?
no subject
Hold on...
[He goes to send a new message, this time to her numbers, so they can talk without fear of being overheard.]
Okay. So you know that I look kind of freaky now right?
no subject
You said you have horns?
[She had picked that tidbit up from his conversation with Kavi when they had been together on her computer]

Yeah. Well, there's other stuff too. My skin is yellow and my eyes look, well. There's a bunch of noticeable physical differences at this point.
[It's hard to say, he really doesn't want Catnip to think he's a weirdo, but, he might as well tell her the truth.]
When we left the society that stuff all.. vanished. Like, I looked completely normal again and I didn't even know what my mom was talking about.

I don't know. I didn't even remember loosing it. Kind of hurt when they came back.. But I think it was just cause of... The voices.
[God he was such a freak.]
no subject
How have you been holding up since?
no subject
[He laughs weakly.]
Mom made me tell her the whole thing. I left out the voices part though. I dunno, it was kind of nice to get it off my chest, but, I know she doesn't approve of what I'm doing here.
....It's a hard thing.. to cope with, the network I mean.
