episode 10 [Video | smartphone]
You guys know how I said it sucks to suddenly get a lifetime's worth of memories all at once in your head? Ends up, it sucks even when it happens again.
[Looks like Thomas is back and he's walking through his apartment with his smartphone's camera on him.]
Oh wait, no. The worst thing is coming back into the city and having your car suddenly turn into an anime Prius when you reach your apartment building at like six am. Anyway, I'm back. Don't know why I forgot, but it was nice going home to spend the holidays with my mom and brother.
Sorry I didn't get anyone anything, I couldn't remember. Everyone feel free to send some gifts my way though. Or who knows, maybe you did? I'm busy sorting through nearly a month's worth of mail.
[He points the camera to a pile of mail on his coffee table before back on himself as he flops down onto his couch.]
So! I miss anything cool? With the way we pick up new people I bet I missed a lot while I was away.

[Text] Lemme know if any of this doesn't work~
With a growing smirk, he vanishes from view, Diabound wrapped around him as he walks right through the locked door, keeping his footsteps light and avoiding stepping on any thing until he finds Thomas. He steps just behind him before:]]
Boo.
[[and with that, Diabound steps back, leaving Bakura visible once more.]]

[Thomas jumps off the couch, clutching his chest tightly. Seems his delusions went off as his hair seems to be literally standing on end ... as is his scarf.]
Ok ... so you can get into my apartment.
[Text]
Told you I could~
[[Pardon him a moment as he reaches out to poke that scarf to see if it falls]]
no subject
Yeah, I guess you did. What the hell was that?
no subject
Diabound lets me go through walls~
[[and then he pulls out a small box where the most moe cell charm he could find in Japan is wrapped, along with a business card from a neko-mimi maid cafe. Not that that could be told by the wrapping, as it's very plain and nondescript. With a grin, he tosses it at Thomas]]
Happy New Year~
no subject
[Thomas catches the gift, proceeding to tear it open.]
Happy New Ye- ...
[Thomas stares at the charm and the card for a moment before slowly looking up at Bakura.]
no subject
[[such a smile. Do you want to punch him yet, Thomas?]]
no subject
[Thomas huffs and sets the box on a nearby table, covertly pocketing the cafe's card.]
Seriously, you couldn't have gotten me something cool?
no subject
Hey, you're lucky you got that! I barely remembered much about you except your love hate affair with moe~
[[a pause]] Aaa, right! One last...
[[He reaches into his pocket to pull out a small paper bag before carefully extracting a small good luck charm and holding it out]] I got a bunch of these for everybody.
no subject
[Thomas looks a bit confused before accepting the charm and smiling.]
Thanks Bakura. I get the feeling we're really going to need these in the coming days.
no subject
[[and he just smiles and nods at the thanks. Because yeah. They likely would]]
no subject
[He sighs and puts a hand on Bakura's shoulder.]
Honestly I wish I could have seen it with the way I overreact lately. Anyway, when did you start going through walls?
no subject
And since I think around Halloween. Don't remember exact.
no subject
I feel like that would mess with it's Baa in a bad way.
no subject
[[a grin as he leans against the couch]]
Besides. Egyptian other me was the King of Thieves. Somehow I doubt his strength of soul got dinged for that.
no subject
[Thomas walked past him and dropped onto the couch.]
Still, what if that was just his job and deep down he was born to be a saint?

But yeah, the bastard priests flipped a shit about him being divine because he should have been evil, by their expectations. They were also expecting him to be a dinky little thing too. Heh.
no subject
Huh. So the thief king was expected to have a small demonic ... ghost-slave thing, but has a big divine one. Sounds like the gods were on his side.

no subject
Oooh I like it. Sort of an authority versus morality angle going too. Your thief king would make a good movie Bakura. Doesn't really fit with the boardgame murderer though.
no subject
[[awkward face is a go]]
Yeah, so. About that.
[[awkward fidget awkward fidget]]
So there was a board game of Egypt. The one that trying to make a new Monster World without the murder triggered me remembering.
no subject
You have the memories of a guy who seemed to have the backing of the gods in a fight for justice in ancient Egypt. Then you also have memories of a game based murderer who also had a connection to Egypt.
no subject
Everything seems somehow tangled in with games. I mean, hell, the deck of cards I got... pretty sure the monsters on there are kaa. Likely ones the bastard priests sealed... So two games both linked to murder and Egypt.
...I hate to say it, but I feel like I need to hunt down more memories so I can start figuring this puzzle out....
