You guys know how I said it sucks to suddenly get a lifetime's worth of memories all at once in your head? Ends up, it sucks even when it happens again.

[Looks like Thomas is back and he's walking through his apartment with his smartphone's camera on him.]

Oh wait, no. The worst thing is coming back into the city and having your car suddenly turn into an anime Prius when you reach your apartment building at like six am. Anyway, I'm back. Don't know why I forgot, but it was nice going home to spend the holidays with my mom and brother.

Sorry I didn't get anyone anything, I couldn't remember. Everyone feel free to send some gifts my way though. Or who knows, maybe you did? I'm busy sorting through nearly a month's worth of mail.

[He points the camera to a pile of mail on his coffee table before back on himself as he flops down onto his couch.]

Well, the idea of heading to Japan is just a really strong pull. It's where Sentai belongs ... even if Power(ful) Rangers is/was a thing. Never let me go or else I'll end up tracking down our equivalent of Toei and pitching Goranger.

We're working on Aoi-tan. I was thinking more Powerful Rangers for Saban. I remember most of the basis for their adaptations anyway.

I think once my echos take hold of any of it, it sort of stops mattering really. I mean, that pillow I busted while henshined is still busted. Sort of forgot to clean it up.

The American adaptation of sentai ... which sometimes then got dubbed into Japanese. Pretty weird.

Less forgot and more really lazy.

Well the adaptation was pretty loose. Like, we're just using the suits and stock footage. The stories were pretty much entirely original. Well except Samurai.

What, did they not want to pay for translation or anything? That's some youtube shit right there.

If I'm remembering right, they did a dub of an earlier season for a test run in Hawaii and it didn't do as good as they wanted. Might have been a rumor though.

That made them decide to do the whole American actors thing ... and then they had the black ranger played by an african american actor and the yellow ranger by an asian american actor.

I would say I'm surprised but I'm really not.

According to the producers, it was something they didn't realize until it was too late.

Not bad. The usual family stuff. Got some gifts, gave some gifts. I'm sort of glad that I forgot, I wouldn't have gone to visit if I'd remembered. Getting back here was hell though. Why did it have to storm now?
