Hello, everyone. It looks like I'm not the only person just now becoming aware of this... forum, for lack of a better word. I've already read through the FAQ, but while I admire the dedication of those maintaining it, I still have a few questions:
  • Is there any meaningful distinction between using "pulses" and "echoes" to describe the memories (or other things, I'm lead to believe) that we receive? Is one preferred over the other, or is it a matter of personal preference? Do they carry different connotations?
  • I've seen numerous references to aliens in multiple recent posts that I haven't found explained in the FAQ. Could someone kindly summarize?
  • It sounds like people who don't receive pulses/echoes can't access or sense this network. If I were to access it by writing on a piece of paper, say, and I left that paper lying around somewhere, what would my parents see? What if they look at my screen as I'm typing on it? I'd rather not take unnecessary risks, particularly as I'd like to keep my involvement as minimal as possible.
Thank you in advance.

No -- ... Not that I'm aware of.[Not out of lack of awareness of false alarms that he states that, either, but confidence that they were, indeed, false alarms.] Er - privacy is still understandable -- of course, but -- several of us already know - each other. -- O - or we meet. Eventually -- through... [Through this, but that's nonspecific - ] - things.

[And yet so is that, blast it.]

No -- [Again shakes his head out of view.] -- Although there are people who have erm -- tried - suggesting that we have one -- [Voice things and dries up a little here, given who some of those "people" are, people definitely much more authoritative than he is - ] -- I'm not sure how I feel about it - however; it uhm -- ...someone might pick up on it - ...

-- I mean that there are people who meet through here - often... -- To, er -- ...assist - each other.

Of course -- ... [Definitely enough of a trace of heart in his voice for it to be an agreement and not neutral.] -- Someone can normally ask - for -- ... anything else - urgent -- here -- also... -- It -- reaches enough people that someone is bound to -- be able to do something - ...

-- We're not -- sure - how many of us there are - either; however... It's - ...There's definitely a lot of us. [That last muttered out fairly quick and inattentively; it probably went without saying with a look at this!]

-- The first ones aren't always déjà vu -- ...but those seem to be the most common type... -- It is - only with a first pulse as faras we know... -- Correct.
