Warnings: Spoilers for Attack on Titan all over.

[ At last, the big day has come. The Echo party. Sasha was bringing snacks, and Ryan and Bertholdt even decked the place out in Christmas decorations-- they have a real tree and everything. Their apartment looks, in a word, festive, which is adorable given that they're wearing matching christmas sweaters and fidgeting around a bit. ]

[ Now just pretend Ryan and Bertl don't look kinda titan-y and you're all set. And forget about the part where they're having a bunch of kids over to discuss their ridiculously depressing past lives... Well. You feel me. ]

[ So yeah!!! THIS IS IT!! Just for reference, I'm putting a "Start" (ie: for people getting to the party if you wanna awkwardly greet people or so you can handwave that too) and then just saying like "later" or whatever for Ryan's big heck up, you guys are free to start threads whenever/wherever just say when in the subject if you wanna. (so like, 3DMG showing offs and PS3 fun times, etc. go crazy!!) ]

[He leans over and pats Ryan's shoulder as if patting the dust off him.]

[ Ryan nods his thanks, tilting his head to try and remember the details of his memory. ]

Yeah, that was then. She kinda, uh... hm. I think I want to attack her and then she grabbed me...

[ And then she crushed him into a bit of a paste, but he got better. ]

... That doesn't sound good.

Does anybody know why she was attacking in the first place? I mean, aside from wanting to eat us.

Yeah, I ended up kinda... well, that's how I knew I could heal back then, too.

I don't think she wanted to eat us, exactly. Not all titans seemed to-- the smart ones, anyway. I mean, I don't remember ever wanting to eat anybody.

The smart ones. You mean the ones that can turn back into humans?

To put it simply... yeah. I mean, I don't remember ever wanting to eat anyone in the memories I have.

If you were conscious while you were a titan, that might be why. Some kind of titan instinct that you repressed with your human conscience or whatnot. Maybe you didn't even need to eat people as titans, if you didn't want to eat them... but who knows.

... Do you know why you turn into titans?

I hope so. That'd be a nasty echo to get...

Honestly? No clue. It feels like something I could always do, but then I don't have any childhood memories from back then or anything, so who knows?

Cannibalism is not a recommended life decision. [smh, Ryan. He hopes you don't get it either.]

Geez. That's scary. So uh... is that uncomfortable? at all? the way you look right now...

No kidding. [ Try living with the fear of echoing that. ]

It doesn't hurt, strangely enough. None of it has, since it's just been so gradual... I mean I can open my jaw way farther than I should be able to, and there's no skin underneath parts of my jaw, but... it doesn't hurt at all. I dunno whether to be scared or grateful.

If you need anything at any time, like if you get too clunky to move and you need someone to clean yours or Bertholdt's apartment, just give us a ring. I'm pretty good at cleaning since we try to keep the house always clean for my grandparents.

You'd do that? Even knowing all this?

[ Anthony, you're already his best not!son. ]

Knowing all of what? That you're a human armor and your boyfriend's kind of peeling?

[He laughs and shakes his head.]

I don't care about any of that. Whatever you guys were before and whatever you guys were to past me, you're still pretty cool people right now. Isn't that all that matters?

[ Gosh, Anthony, it's so nice that you're willing to be friends with Ryan even if he develops weird cannibalism or something. ]

Yeah. It is. [ He smiles. ] Thanks.
