let's play cops and drug dealing robbers!
Who: Anyone around/in Locke City High School
When: 5th period
Where: Locke City High
What: DRUG BUST.
[It's just about that time. Numerous cops were gathered outside the high school. They were now ready and waiting for the commanding officer's order to move in. The cop in command for the bust itself stands ahead of the rest while glancing at his watch. Almost time. Just less than a minute to go and they could move in. Their orders were clear: take in anyone mentioned in Aurion's report AND search and/or apprehend several suspicious individuals outside of that report. Use of force is approved should they resist.
The second hand finally strikes the golden 12 on the officer's watch. Time to move in. He puts down his hand and gives the order to start closing in. Instantly, the police force begins to approach the high school.]
((ooc: and thus starts the drug bust! feel free to npc your own cops if you tag into this!! and a note i forgot to mention: anyone arrested will be officially known to be part of the numbers club but they will get released within a day or so thanks to karl 's interference))

Shortly after the vocal acknowledgement, the door opens once more. The face that pops in this time is a far more familiar one, namely that of one supposed Richard Locke. Maybe there had been some hesitation on his part of coming there himself, but letting anyone else do so risks it being Sherman or someone equally unpleasant.

The attempt at hiding his accent just went out the window, too.

Once near the only desk in the room, he stopped walking. "If you want a proper explanation, I can provide one for you at a later time, perhaps while giving you a lift back to the school should you wish it." Talking in a place where walls have ears would not be wise, after all.
Karl then set down a couple papers and a pen on the desk in front of Lyall. "For now, I need you to fill out a few forms. The sooner this gets done, the sooner you can leave."

He sat at the desk opposite Richard-- Karl? Was his name Karl, really?-- and took up the pen to hurriedly fill in what blanks were there for him. "I hope whatever this whole mess was turned out worth it for you," was his annoyed-sounding and still quite British comment as he signed his name at the bottom of the first form. He wasn't up to keeping his emotions and accent in check at the same time, after this day.

None of this gets said aloud. Little indication that Karl even really listened to the question exists, aside from the teeniest of frowns now on his face.

"There. Is there anything else I must go through before I can go home? Or is that is?" Yes, he could indeed hold onto his annoyance for as long as it took to sign forms. And longer, too.

Karl started towards the door with the documents in hand. He opened the door before glancing over his shoulder at Lyall. "If you would still like that ride then follow me."

They couldn't actually talk until the car, anyway, and talking was what he really wanted to be doing right now. Or more specifically, getting answers.

The documents got dumped on his desk and he grabbed his jacket as well as car keys before making his way back to the front. All this didn't take long so Lyall wasn't kept waiting for more than a minute or two. Once close enough, Karl gave a nod indicating it was time to go.

He did try to throttle it down again once they were outside, at least, following in the man's wake. "So I suppose I ought to get used to the new name," he began once they reached the car.

As they approached the car, Karl took out his keys and clicked a button. A beep rang out, signaling it had been unlocked. "Call me whatever you prefer, but I do ask that in public you refer to as Richard for the time being." He opened the driver's side door and got inside.

A light up ahead turned yellow, then red and the car ran it. Traffic signals can be obeyed on any other day, just not now. "Also, I have not given any information pertaining to the Network to my superiors, Sherman or anyone. In turn, they have kept me in the dark regarding their activities. Even the Network arrests with this drug bust..." His grip on the steering wheel tightened to the point it almost left dents. "They were done without my knowledge."

"Just don't expect a lot of trust, if you can't come clean with something this important, when you're knee-deep in the other side of all this rot," he finished.

He narrowed his eyes at Karl sidelong. Their friendship seemed ruined, at this point, anyway, so.... "If you don't tell them, I will."
