Who: Elly, Daniel & Sara; open to Sierra and Mimi as well
When: Forward-dated to 12/1
What: Finishing up the group project from hell
Warnings: Stupid amounts of scrambling, leftovers and energy drinks
She had barely enough time to shower the smell of her parents' giant dog away (which she quickly did after Mimi pitched a fit) and make something resembling decent dinner for the three with the large amount of leftovers she was sent home with, but somehow Elly managed. It was the least she could do, especially after being unavailable for most of the week to get things done. She wouldn't admit that it was part of an underhanded plan to get rid of the food that had been so quickly pushed upon; simply an act out of the kindness of her own heart.
Laptop rested on the coffee table, the redhead made her way to the couch, deflating for the short amount of time that she could before Daniel got there. She felt like she had been running non-stop since Wednesday, and to say that she was tired was an understatement. Tipping her head back, she called through the apartment, "Food's ready if you want to eat," before leaning toward her laptop and going over her notes.
They really shouldn't have put this off. It was going to be a long night.

Looking over her shoulder, she made a face. "I have no idea what Sara's doing, or if she's even here right now. I told her what time we were getting together."

Daniel walks inside and sets his bag on the floor. "I brought some teas and other drinks in case we need them. I have my laptop too so I can get the graphics put together."

Uh oh abort abort Elly"Well thanks, it smells great. Anyway, let me get set up."
Daniel takes a seat on the couch and pulls out his laptop and a tablet. While it's booting up he piles a rather... generous helping of turkey onto a plate and sits down, idly munching with surprising speed as he gets photoshop up and running, pausing only to wipe his fingers clean of any grease before he interacts with his computer.

And look who's home! From... wherever she was? She has her backpack with her, so probably not any kind of sinful music parties.

"Oh hey, Sara. Good. I'm working on some of the graphics, come take a look and see if you like how the colors are coming out."
The graphics on Daniel's computer are very clean and precisely drawn. The colors are serviceable and well laid out, if unexciting.

"Not the direction I would've taken things, but for a Psych class presentation, probably for the best. It's very you." Shrug.
"So, you're doing the graphical stuff. What part of this hoedown do I get?"

"You'll be speaking," She said frankly, pulling up her word processor. "I did some research. My notes aren't complete, but I can help make some note cards for you to read from." Her tone flat, it said far more than mere words. Stick to the script and no one would get hurt, they said. "Unless you have some notes of your own. We can always combine them."

Of course, with how tempting that food smells, she might just take the scolding and icky sprays if it means delicious food in her tummy.
By the time Elly walks in again, she'll find the cat has dragged a piece of meat off of the plate and is currently gnawing on it, although she'll freeze when she realizes she's been spotted.
assuming before the guests arrive?

"But it's not fair!"
Her head is low, brushing up against the ground. Is she... starting to cry?
"You made yummy smelling food for everybody but me! I want to eat with you too!"

Stay strong, Elly.
