"I'm relaxed," Hajime lied. He gave a long sigh. "I can sense...something. There's power somewhere nearby, even if it's really distant." Distant enough for him to get ahold on the bug's instincts to go tear it up, at least. Distant enough that he wondered if the bug's instincts were making it up to get him all wound up again. Was the only reason he could tell was because he knew the others were down there looking for something?

"You can sense energy or something?"

He can't say that doesn't sound cool. After all, while he can move a lot faster than he should be able to, Shou was still pretty much human with a human's range of senses. Having something extra that might prove useful would be interesting, though he wasn't sure about the twitchy need to fight it would be worth having it. But then again, maybe talking about it would help Hajime control the urge to smack him some pink snake statue tails.

"Or do you think it's nerves because you aren't down there heading off the big threat that might be hiding away in the tunnels?"

"I can sense things the bug wants to fight if I'm close." Hajime sounded a bit grumpy about that. Whatever was inside him needed to stop picking fights with things. "Or at least it's attracted to power." He shook his head. "But it might be nerves, at least now."

Was she the only one that had come out? She was breathing harder than she'd like to admit- running was not her strong suit- and at the sight of Hajime and Shou, she stops a moment, catching her breath, before advancing at a less hurried pace, though she looks back behind her.

"More trouble than I can handle," she said by way of explanation. The moment the man ran off, she knew she wouldn't have been able to keep up with Lyall and the others. And the moment the statues started moving- well, that was self-explanatory. Heightened smell and hearing didn't do much to help when being attacked by huge pink snakes. Reilanin wasn't that stupid. She knew when she'd be better off gone.

She looked between the two and awkwardly settled on Shou. "Nothing out here?"
