A while ago, I got back a laser sword.
[ PICTURED: A LASER SWORD. Steely-white hilt, pink blade. Robot not included (for now). ]
I've only used it twice since the echo, three times if you count taking that picture. But it's not as intense as it was when it first appeared. It might have to recharge, but I don't know how, or what it's even made of. It left some scorch marks on stone, but I think that it's really meant for cutting intoother robots cockpits metals.
...I need to know what to do with it before it goes out for good.
[ DON'T SUGGEST AN APPLE STORE ]
I'll be out all day, so if anyone has the time to take a look at it, I can come to you.
( ACTION, OPEN )
OPTION A: LCU
[ School, boooo. He has precisely one morning class on Thursdays, and at 11am when he trudges out into the cold morning sun thrown about LCU's grounds, he looks a little... rough. Like in dire need of coffee or breakfast or the peace of mind a good night's sleep brings type rough. In truth, he needs the lowdown on this laser sword business ASAP, so he's brought it along in the bag slung over his shoulder. Just having it on his person when there were still police officers sniffing around makes him a touch nervous, however.
He looks at his watch. Stick around and brave the gauntlet, get breakfast, slug back home in the cold? ]
OPTION B: PUBLIC LIBRARY
[ Work, slightly less boooo. He's only offered to come in and help for an hour to two. Increase in traffic, increase in people actually looking stuff up in books. So he's on the second floor, perched on a ladder while he shuffles nonfiction titles into order.
Every now and again, one will slip past him as he works, clattering to the floor in a whip of pages. ]
OPTION C: PARK
[ Obligations met for the day, zero boos! So Banagher has decided to take it to the park for a few hours. There's a crisp bite the air, but there's still plenty of people milling about, enjoying the sidewalks sprawled throughout the park. And if not, there's still the park's center, crowned in a gaudy white fountain and decked out with festive strings of little gold lights. Local vendors are already set up to sell hot chocolate and the like.
Banagher, meanwhile, has parked himself at one of the basketball courts to shoot hoops for a little while. He wasn't quite comfortable enough to go at a punching bag in the dojo without Regina yet, so it was the next best thing to blow off a little steam. Plus, he hasn't done this in forever.
Haro sits on the bench with his coat and bookbag, also enjoying something that wasn't the inside of his room. Every so often he chimes in with a cheeky, "Missed! Missed!" when Banagher botches a shot. ]
I could throw you next, you know.
OPTION D: DOWNTOWN
[ On his way back home, he's drawn in by a crowd milling around a square drenched in outdoor spotlights. It's gotten darker earlier, but the time of year meant that establishments were open later, and the people followed suit by staying out later, too. Approaching, he realizes it's not the square itself that's got everyone's attention — it's the ice rink!
And he'd forgotten completely about it. Was it done already? ]
(ooc. open post! pick a place and a time and go wild! mix and match or make up your own, i'm not picky. ♥)

Option A; going to assume that the cat's already out of the bag
Oh, it's you. The guy from the other day?
[What was it with her and continuously running into people? First Daniel, now him. At least she didn't have any weird memories involving this one. Yet, anyway.]
all cats have been freed, sir
Hey! Yeah, it's me.
[ An innocent enough reply; he still feels bad for startling her once. ]
no subject
Banagher, right? I hope I'm right. Otherwise this might be a bit awkward.
no subject
[ Shrugging casually, if not somewhat carefully, he returns the smile. ]
Don't worry, that's better than most people do, first thing. Did you just get out of class?

Option C
The cold air was doing her head a bit of good, the dull ache that had been there all day starting to subside. She could feel the stress starting to fall away, at least a little bit. Maybe a few laps around would do some good. Even with her change of shift, her mom wouldn't be home for another hour or two. She could slip in without being noticed.
Taking to a brisk walk, she let her mind wander. It was strange, she could have almost sworn she heard Haro's voice pierce through the cold air. It wasn't until she passed by the court that she noticed that there was a familiar person there.]
Banagher?
no subject
I hope you're not still grounded.
[ Or, in other words: Hi.
Which Haro picks up on and dutifully fills in with a tinny, "Luci! Hello!" ]
no subject
I'm guessing you saw my message earlier.
[Hands in her pockets, she sat down on the bench, next to Haro, stretching out, legs crossed at the ankle.]
I'm not grounded. That's not to say I'm not in trouble.

B!
She just kind of stares at him for a minute. Like he's an exotic animal.]
You don't seem very good at this. [Speaking up for his attention and nodding in the direction of the book he just let tumble to the ground. What did that book to do you?]
no subject
Blinking, Banagher presses his palm into the top of the ladder and twists around, gaze first falling to Rei, then the book. ]
Maybe so, huh? Sorry if that disturbed you.
[ 'Disturbed' because he highly doubted anything was actually capable of startling her. Digging his heel into one of the rungs, he starts his descent to retrieve the jumper. ]
Were you looking for something?
no subject
[Raises an eyebrow.]
I guess I found something, though.
Do you normally work here? I'm here almost every day.

Carrying a red-banded pigeon, tidbitting it with bits of popcorn, Julien spies Banagher and decides, reluctantly, against testing his stealth thing on him. Instead while he does approach silently without any sudden movements, he also approaches directly and without stopping or turning aside. The other birds after the food decline to come on to the court with him. Julien takes off his messenger bag without disturbing his friend, putting it under the bench.]
Hello, little robot! You're still so cute.
no subject
"Hello! Julien! Missed again! Missed again!"
Ignoring Haro's determination to turn this into a spectator sport, he heaves a sigh of relief, breath pluming up through the air. ]
Julien! Jeez, you weren't kidding about that sneaking around stuff... you look like you've been sitting there the whole time.
no subject
Sorry! Not my intention at all. [he doesn't sound sorry. Stealth is fun. Now Julien pulls some of the amusement from his voice.] Actually I only just got here, I saw you and decided to say hello. Brisk day, isn't it!
[Bending over with the bird sitting on one hand, he addresses the robot.] Were you surprised, Haro?

[Or turn it into something completely different but that's what happens. Alas, he must admit to himself that Tony is indeed not here]
I've mostly just watched him work, but I think you need someone to run diagnostics first. If there's a limited charge, you need to know what kind of energy it's running on to start with.

[ YOU'RE FIRED, ECHOES. ]
Well, I'm only guessing, but... it's definitely not glowing like it used to. It's not as hot, either.

Any idea what the internal mechanisms are like? If you can get a look inside that might work. At least, it'd confirm whether we're dealing with something familiar or not.

Action: C!
[[Bakura walks over, going to pick up the cheeky masbot and toss him up and down a bit]]
School been eating you? Haven't seen you much around lately.
no subject
He's just doing that to be cheeky. [ A smile tugs at him anyway. ] School, trying not to get caught. Who knew those would go hand in hand.

[[Bakura himself hadn't been hanging around LCU much lately. Between the weather and his searching with Diabound he just hadn't bothered]]

option e: none of the above!!
Needless to say, having Banagher's helping in grading papers is nothing short of a lifesaver. Ruining police reports with ink is one thing (if annoying); ruining homework that couldn't simply be done over is another. Asking for help feels odd, yet little other choice remains.
The urge to sigh just barely gets resisted as Richard sets down a large stack of homework next to Banagher. Troubling other people like this shouldn't be necessary.]
Once again, I appreciate you helping me out, Banagher.
DO WHAT WE WANT
It's fine, Mr. Locke. I offered. And it's not like you're having me grade essays, or anything.
[ Chem was fairly straightforward in comparison. At least that's how it felt, when he was on the opposite end of things. ]
How is it going? Trying to get the hang of your strength, still.
no subject
The question gets a brief moment of silence as Richard glances down at where the gem hidden under his clothes rests. The hearing and sight been decently gotten used to by now, but the strength is another matter. One never realizes how mindlessly they pick things up until those things can be easily snapped in half if not paying proper attention.]
The process is taking longer than expected, but I've mastered not accidentally breaking furniture, if nothing else.
[His coffee table at home had, thankfully, been the last unfortunate victim.]
