[Well, this was unusual, a network post from Luci in the middle of the day. It seemed that the blond was texting either in-between classes or during lunch.]

To those people who talked to me Sunday, I apologize but I'll be off the grid for a while. I know I'm just trying to get things started, so I'm sorry. Feel free to keep up on what we talked about, but hold on to it for now. Or if someone else wants to take charge for the time being, that works too.

[The message abruptly ends.]

[For those people who follow Twitter, the network's own Zelos Wilder has been getting a bit of traffic of late, and the publicity isn't good. Some people are alleging that he may be having a romance with an underage student--a Starling-Chandler student, to boot. There have been photos that have surfaced, taken about two weeks ago, of him in the company of a certain blond. Whoever was taking the photos was definitely amateur, so it's a little hard to make her out--hence why her name has yet to go public--but the intent is certainly implied; there are a few images of them walking in, leaning in close over a table, then a series of somewhat rushed photos of Zelos grabbing her hand and pulling her out of her chair and out of the cafe in a rush.

Most of the ire has been directed at Zelos himself, suggesting that either the outing was a publicity stunt to promote the collaboration between Starlit and Starling-Chandler on a future performance, but there are others that believe that itself is hiding a bigger scandal: Zelos' sudden interest in a high school aged lady. There are a few names that have possibly been tied to the "lucky" lady, and the name Lucianna Edwards does come up as a front-runner. Nothing has been confirmed yet, however.]

[Should anyone be around the Starling campus after school, they'll notice a person draw a hood up over her head, then start walking very quickly, head down. She passes by a few of her fellow students, and a few words are exchanged; despite this, Luci keeps walking, perhaps a little quicker than she was before. Her posture is stiff, uncomfortable, and a bit shrunken, as she passes through the gates and continues on her way.]

[It took everything she had in her to not be startled back into sight by the sound. It didn't take long to realize what was going on.

Oh, that IDIOT.

Using the general commotion to her advantage, she slips out the front door, on an immediate path to try to find her stupid boyfriend.]

[Said boyfriend is up a tree looking a bit smug]

[Idiot. How did he plan on getting out of this without being seen? She could only cloak herself. Besides, she couldn't really make herself known.

Quickly grabbing her phone, she sent a text. "I'm out. Right under you. Awaiting orders."]

He hops down and starts walking away. A text hits her phone.

[Let's head to my place for now, you should be able to pop back in the alley up here.]

[She followed a few steps behind before finally coming to a safe place to pop back into view. Her head was lowered, and it was hard to say if she didn't look pleased because of the events of the day, or because of what just happened.]

Rough day, huh.

[She looked up, trying to smile. Had she been crying?]

Something like that.

[Ez somewhat tentatively reaches out at grabs her hand]

C'mon, let's get you out of here.

[She nods and grabs his hand.]

[Ez is going to lead her back to his house. As he opens the door and steps in he immediately hits a statue wth an arm outstretched to his forehead level, swears and drops like a sack of potatoes.]

[As they walk in, she's not quite ready for him to fall over after being smacked by the hand of... well, whatever that was.]

Ez! Are you all right?

Ez, however, is shouting angrily upstairs. A reply comes down.

"You're home? Did you get suspended again!?"

Luci very visibly winces when she hears the other voice. That must be his uncle.

"Should I go, I don't want to get you in trouble..."

Don't worry it's fine I DIDN'T GET SUSPENDED I'M HELPING OUT A FRIEND WE HAVE COMPANY.

[brief pause, then response from upstairs]

"WELL WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN ME THE PLACE IS A MESS"

[Ez gives a long suffering sigh]

THE PLACE IS ALWAYS A MESS!

[Luci will just stand there in the doorway, feeling more than a little awkward. Did they always shout across the house at each other?]

Um...

C'mon in! Watch your head.

[Slowly she goes inside, closing the door behind her, not entirely sure what's she's actually walking into.]

[He leads her into the kitchen]

Have a seat, can I get you anything?

I'm okay. Thanks.

[She sits down.]

So that was your uncle? He seems...

[Loud.]

Crazy? Yeah I know. He'll probably poke his head down at some point to investigate.

That's not the word I would have used.

[The idea of being watched should have probably bothered her a little, but it was trumped by another thought. It was school hours. She should be at school. Instead she was somewhere else, and wasn't quite sure how to feel about it.]

Well anyway, there's unfortunately not much to do in the middle of the school day. We're safe enough here but usually if you're out and about an overzealous cop will stop you and ask questions. It's not much but you can hang out here until it's later in the day. If you want to, that is.

I feel like I should at least be somewhat concerned that you know this much as far as skipping school is concerned, but I'm not going to ask. Staying here is fine.

[It meant she didn't have to go home right away, and things were infinitely more interesting here.]

Sounds good. Did you want to do anything? I've got plenty of games and books around, help take your mind of things.

Sure. I'm fine with whatever you choose.

[Looking around, that was when she saw it, sitting innocently on the table. A ceramic bird? Was that a turkey?]
