[When Suzaku makes an appearance, he's not wearing any strange must-be-cosplay this time. He's standing some distance away, apparently using a tv as his screen]
From what I've read, I gather some people might need to make other living arrangements.
[He pauses as though this conveys his entire message. Of course, it doesn't. As much as he's thought about addressing this matter, he's still having trouble articulating it. It's a visible struggle, coupled with a lengthy bout of silence, and then he presses on]
My godfather owns this property [He gestures to what appears to be an impressive space] but he's away on business. Likely for a long time. Because of my deployment, I'm still here.
Since that's the case, there's no need to worry about endangering someone who isn't involved.
[A pause again. He's really not good at this]
If it happens that someone needs a place to stay, it should be fine. Just don't make a mess. I'm keeping his house exactly the way he left it.
[ooc: Subseqent to that, Suzaku accesses the network from screens and windows, giving a real scope of the house. For reference, this is his residence]

I'm confident in the security system my godfather developed, otherwise I wouldn't. Besides, we can capitalize on this amount of space.
...Although it's probably insufficient if it rains robots.

[ More like a terrifying leap of faith where you were 99% likely to get stuck in something, from what he's seen, but hey. IN THE NAME OF PROGRESS. ]
But you're right. There have to be those of us in a worse spot who could use it. Raining robots aside. How has that gone so far, by the way?
[ Because finding a spot to stash mecha is like discussing the weather, right. ]

[Or at least it appears to be ever more the case of late]
But I've only started.

[ A thoughtful exhale. ]
It's not that surprising that we're not the only ones to want to have some kind of plan in place. You don't really realize how small a city can actually be.
[ Until you have to stash something that may wind up 70+ feet tall, that is. ]

Would help if we had a clue of exact dimensions, but not much we can do for that.
[Time to guesstimate the size of giant robots]
no subject
[ And even if they were it's still winning no points for convenience. HE JUST LIKES BEING SASSY AND FACETIOUS. ]
That jet-robot in my memories, it wasn't that it was necessarily a lot bigger than a normal jet. Maybe something like fifteen or twenty feet longer? It was just really bulky, and not streamlined at all.
[ Which, yeah, is a decent chunk of weight and mass, but not exactly what he thinks of when it comes to unwieldy laser-shooting giant robots. ]

That'd be interesting to land, I'll bet.
[Because while there are commercial airplanes he sure doesn't pilot anything so large]
Guess we'll just have to roll with "enormous." Too much room isn't a problem like too little room would be.

Maybe we should start looking at rural places. Not outside the barrier, obviously... but when our only option in the city is still Fort Turner, we have to think differently.
no subject
That's true. Probably got some maps around here...
[Which leaves him wandering past one surface dialed into the network and then another, making a bee-line for a cabinet]

If we could find something abandoned, that'd be even better. But that's almost too much like a movie to hope for.
[ He watches the progression of the logged-in surfaces in fascination. ]
Not that there isn't a lot already like that though.

At this point, I think I'd only be surprised if something completely insane happened.
...Well, more insane than animated snake statues.
[After some rifling around, he tugs some maps out of a drawer and starts unfolding them. The things are a mess and he knows who to credit with that]
Worth a shot, at any rate.

[ Tapping his fingers on his desk, he pulls up Google maps. ]
Yeah. We can't exactly afford to be picky.
no subject
[Because he sure did. In entirely futile fashion, since while his speed could equal insane force, it'd also break him against a rock target]
Something's better than nothing, at least to start with.

[ A WITHERING SIGH. ]
She couldn't control it though, so she kept trying to shoot it with pennies.
[ Clicking idly around Google maps. ]
And we were trying to save a homeless guy.
no subject
But he's not that concerned with that part]
Was that successful?
no subject
[ That's it that's the victory. ]
no subject
[Sounds like an A+ job to him]
Be nice if everything ended up that way.
[In fact, it's his horribly unrealistic goal]
no subject
That's what I'm hoping for. So far I feel like it's all just been dumb luck.

[He's outlining a few potential areas to scout as he talks, wishing he'd made himself more familiar with areas outside the city proper. Or had gone hiking more]
no subject
[ The most he has is his aunt and uncle's cabin up north. But he can't exactly call them up and ask to park a mecha in their lot. ]
no subject
...Unless they all get hit by the random lottery. But that seems improbable at least.
[Obviously there's some exploring to be done here]
