[When Suzaku makes an appearance, he's not wearing any strange must-be-cosplay this time. He's standing some distance away, apparently using a tv as his screen]
From what I've read, I gather some people might need to make other living arrangements.
[He pauses as though this conveys his entire message. Of course, it doesn't. As much as he's thought about addressing this matter, he's still having trouble articulating it. It's a visible struggle, coupled with a lengthy bout of silence, and then he presses on]
My godfather owns this property [He gestures to what appears to be an impressive space] but he's away on business. Likely for a long time. Because of my deployment, I'm still here.
Since that's the case, there's no need to worry about endangering someone who isn't involved.
[A pause again. He's really not good at this]
If it happens that someone needs a place to stay, it should be fine. Just don't make a mess. I'm keeping his house exactly the way he left it.
[ooc: Subseqent to that, Suzaku accesses the network from screens and windows, giving a real scope of the house. For reference, this is his residence]

[ Maybe not STASH A MECHA type space, but it was still impressive. ]

[At least when Tony was around there was enough INVENTING STUFF noise going on that it felt occupied]

[Of course it would, but he doesn't consider that]
Just bizarre when it's this quiet.

That is a wicked sweet garage. Hell that's just a pretty sweet house all around.

[He looks proud for a moment, because he is. And then he looks around the large room he's in]
It just...seems like too much, if it's only me.

Yeah, he's got all kinds of things. Actually I've always thought he'd develop the first mecha-tech.
[Because his godpapa is best papa, right?]
Stop by sometime if you want. He'd probably be thrilled I had people over.
[Now there's a hint of irritation at the end, ever so slight, but only because he gets needled about being more outgoing]
perma-text
Did he or did he not do it yet?

He seemed to be on the right track, but business comes first.
I was pretty tempted to tell him about the one I saw.

The property is gated, for starters. It'd be legal hell if someone trespassed. And if they did, the security system's beyond top of the line. My godfather modified it himself.
[And he sounds very confident in that]
permatext
it does sound pretty good though.

[A fact which, from his tone, doesn't please him. Not the fact that Alan is right, but rather that it's the state of things]
Contingency plans're important too, but it's safer than anyplace else I've seen here.

If you want to see for yourself, you can. The security systems.
[Or the house, but he's not the best at these things]

Mm, pragmatic matters: So what happens if you forget? Leave the key somewhere and tell us where? You think you'd be there a lot if you were normal again?
video
[He thinks about it for a few moments before giving a reply]
The security system's rigged up so everybody's got an individual PIN. Even if I didn't remember, the system would. Which'd mean no one would be impeded by me. And I'd have to naturally conclude that either my godfather or I had issued the number.
no subject
Hmm. You're sure you won't wonder if it's hackers or something? I suppose anyone there could always tell you your godfather set it up for them... Does anyone getting a PIN from you get the ability to give ones to new people? Be nice if we could have a long-term safehouse.
no subject
But to answer that first question, I'd have a much harder time believing hackers could break into anything of his, as opposed to having provided someone with a PIN.

Ethan?

Er, yeah, I came here for my dispatch.

Been alright. I mean, other than this town going insane. How've things been for you?
