So, people who know network security a little, check this idea a bit.
I'm thinking about how to do exceptionally anonymous works for... Erm, reasons. And I just realized... Is there anything stopping us routing data through this network?
Two computers. One's the workhorse, the other's a chokepoint. It can be placed remotely, but it connects directly to your personal network number via a quick connection script.
That one runs a standard TOR anonymizer or the like, but more importantly, it's located someplace not associated with any one of us - like a couple rather hidden rooms in Locke High I know about, for example.
Data passes in and out through it into the general Internet. Even if it's traced, it doesn't go to any of us. Could be useful for all sorts of things, and even something as cheap as a Roku could do the job.
Any gaps so far?

wanna put that in plain English for us non techies?

If it works, it means certain types of Internet access - say to things Thunder Corp might not want us accessing - with no way to trace us.[text]

Only better, since if it works, one step in the chain can't be solved by non-numbers.[Text]
Re: [Text]
And if the chain's decently long, we make them waste their time while doing it, winding up resources we don't want them directing elsewhere.[Text]

What methods might you use?[handwritten]
Re: [handwritten]
Not a terrible way to be anonymous, done right, I suppose.
Assuming you don't expect your handwriting or the signature of your printer to be traced.

It works over technical protocols - I can use it on my computers. While it's obviously some kind of magical to be able to work on paper and such, if the technical link can be made to work right, it'd be better than any proxy for protecting the identity of the user.Re: text
so no ii still say its a dumb iidea and wont work.
Re: text
There's always a first person to think of something. I'll have to test the theory to get it to work.Re: text

Re: [Text]
If I 'control' both ends, then I'm basically posting messages on the network from myself to myself - it shouldn't be any different from any other proxy.
If it weren't me placing the number, then it wouldn't work, of course, but...

Re: [Text]
It doesn't.
It just means I can potentially grab data off the Internet and have it be untraceable.
