I don't believe in God, in any gods. That being said, I understand the necessity of faith probably better than even many who have it, and I've been studying religions and mythologies of the world since I was thirteen.

Most people want to believe that there is something bigger than them to give them purpose and meaning. The thought that existence was a coincidence, maybe even just a lucky accident, is terrifying. This by far isn't the only reason for faith, but it's been a prevalent one...

Why is it, or what is it, that you wish to 'believe' exactly?

You don't need to believe in a god, you know. You don't need to believe in one specific thing to know that you'll be taken care of after you die. I did a lot of research on it. I still don't really know what I want to believe will happen to me. But the point is that you can believe whatever you want to believe.
