So, pretty sure people have probably discussed this before, but I'm curious.

[Fenn is playing absentmindedly with his nails, which... admittedly looks a bit messed-up, with them growing and shrinking over and over. But he's looking chirpy enough, even with perhaps a little bit more edge in his smile than before.]

I'm sure I ain't the only one by now who has met someone that they remember knowing.... you know, before. In those memories, or whatever they are. [He grimaces faintly, because thinking of them as memories feels a bit too personal for comfort.]

So, how many knew these people before these strange things started happening to them? Do you actually remember knowing them, or have you just got memories that are scarily alike?

Or maybe you're like me, and just kind of... bumped into a stranger and you both suddenly knew that you knew each other somehow, and even though you didn't actually know who they were, they were important....

[He blushes faintly.] Sounds pretty sappy when you say it like that, but there it is. And I'm interested in knowing, 'cause to me it seems like we're all connected somehow, and it'd be interesting to know just how much. I ain't saying everyone is from the same place, obviously, but... well. [A one-shoulder shrug.] I'm just wondering, is all.

[Fay is looking more than a bit embarrassed over making her clearly feel a bit awkward, not to mention a bit guilty, but he tries to speak reasonably and kindly.]

Well, technically I met him for the first time in April, so it's been a while. I think I was one of the first people to find out about this network, see?

[He sighs, pulling a hand through his hair.] But then again, it took maybe two weeks for me to fall in love, and I think he was just as quick about it. So it's a bit... strange, and definitely sounds like a romance novel or somehting.

[His smile softens a bit.] And I think maybe love is the sort of thing that happens when you least expect it, right?

A bit.

[But honestly that's her only experience with that kind of thing, so maaaaybe that's how that works? Although really, what. She just kind of lowers her head.]

Well, if it ever should be... you know, "like that", that wouldn't be too bad, right? Seems like you've got a pretty good relationship with the guy. Don't try to get too hung up on the memories of that past life, 'cause you ain't that person now, right? Just go with what feels right.

[Fay/Fai: Forever giving pretty good relationship advice despite not being able to feelings his way out of a paper bag.]

[She looks up.]

Well, I mean, I don't really have memories like that. As far as I can tell, we just fought together. I'm probably just looking too much into this. Besides, there's no way that he would even--if I I did, which I don't really know, but...

Well, that's what I mean. Even if it was... you know, different in another life, that doesn't really have to mean anything in this one. All that matters is what you do here, right?

[Thank lord he hasn't gotten back his memories of the "There is no such thing as coincidences" mentality and the concept of inevitability. Not that he'd believe it anyway. He manages not to laugh at the blatant subject change, at least.]

I have, though it took me a while. Ain't never really been very good with some feelings. And he claims to love me too, which makes me question his judgement.

I don't even know how I feel right now, so I don't even want to think about other me did. It's really confusing.

Yeah, I understand that one only too well. The other me seems... pretty strange, and from what I've seen I sure don't want to be him. Best not to get distracted~.

[A faint grimace, which then turns into a slightly sheepish smile.]

And I ain't sure. This is the first time I've ever had a proper relationship, so it's not like I know how it's supposed to go even without all this weirdness.

Well, usually people say you should take it slow, so go with that? I don't really have any experience either, so I can't say if that actually works.

"Slow" would probably be a lot easier if I didn't have to drink his blood to survive. That's the sort of thing that can make things a bit intense rather fast.
