Sarcasm; I do comprehend that apparently a district of the city was "blown up", I heard a frightful explosion in the sky just a few nights ago, aaand - I know - it seems as if we have ourselves a monster problem on our hooves again; since the night after Halloween I'll say that I've hardly been able to rest uninterrupted and that goes for my cat, too, the absolute treasure; she and I have been - taking shifts! Watching over the pasture.

But! All that out of the way, if I do not ask now, I might just entirely forget:

Hmm, let's see. Usually a sign of purity, depending on what you're reading, their horns have extremely high but very different magical properties. I think I've even read a few books where some of the more powerful ones can take human form, but I might be wrong. I could do a little more research if you want, because honestly a lot of my sources are a bit, well, skewed for lack of a better term.

[Oh so gracefully bobbed nod.] Right - I learned that they're horses with horns and magical powers, and that they were very real in the life I'm getting showered with gifts from - but, not at all precisely why they're important to me - and I assume that they would be important! I am a horse now, after all.

I've heard you can make them out of goats and cattle! Apparently if the horns are removed as buds and displaced, they'll grow in a spiral shape.

And I do know that rhinoceroses, those guys? Big heavily-built things, like a cross between a bull and a car, with one or two nose horns. People think maybe the myth comes from them - like hundreds of years ago there were no fast, accurate ways to get word out. You'd have people describe things they'd seen in vague ways, and the people they talked to would tell other people, and then you have an old timey artist being told a vague description and drawing something that looks nothing like the animal. So, a four-legged animal, pale, with one straight horn and hard feet...

What else. There's not much that hasn't been covered already, haha! But there are small whales called narwhals that have spiral horn-tusk things.

Unicorns - the main things I know are - one, they're magical, especially their horn, two, they're super rare, three, virgins can only - catch or touch or ride them or something. Everything else varies depending on what you're reading or where it's from--

Funny, however, I've heard the virgin "thing" twice now - I had what I know about them to start with granted; it did tell me all about the magical horns, of course that's important, and I assumed that they're rare, but! Nothing telling me only certain kinds of people can touch them.

Bu~ut, well. Anyway~! Would you, kind sir, happen to know if there are any stories in which unicorns have - an affinity of some kind to gems? ...Rocks perhaps, caves, rocky mountains - anywhere? You - might find jewels...?
