[Alex is at his desk, slouching in front of his computer, chin in one hand, hair even messier than usual, because he's been tugging his hands through it.]

Worst burr, birthday ever.

My mom and dad totally caught me coming-ing back the other night, because of, um. The unforeseen sirr, circumstances.

[As in: suddenly being more weird, alien blue-horse-thing than not for a large part of the evening, so much shit hitting so many fans at the Halloween party, and taking a while to calm down enough to shapeshift back to human.]

So I'm, like. Even more grounded than before. Which mean-zuh no driving-ing test today for sure. Oh. Yeah. I'm sixteen, tee-nuh, today.

I'm teck, technically banned from the internet, but this doesn't really, lee, count, does it?

[He rolls his eyes and half-grins at that.]

What happened at the halloween party? If you don't mind me asking, I mean.

That sucks dude. We're valiantly fighting the forces of weird and we get in trouble for it.

You were -- out, on... -- Halloween, too - were you - ...? [Perhaps slightly misleadingly ambiguous phrasing, with the "too" - but he is taking a guess on what's meant by "'the' unforeseen circumstances".

Next bit comes out compressed and rueful with a tight, sheepish bit of emoting probably only vaguely even a not-quite-smile with the state his face's in to match - the wording is, of course, wrong, but it should be said...]

I came down with even more of other-me's body, boh-dee. Like, fully half of it. And then...

There were some more of those snake things, ing-zuh, from the Dead District? That attacked? And it was really confusing-ing and awful.

I've kind of been thinking about it actually. But I haven't gotten up the nerve yet.

[Restrains a light flinch to a facial twitch on the first - that might've been bad. Wasn't quite good, even if he knew it wasn't wholly appropriate as phrased in the situation.

[He still slightly regrets that he'd had to happen to be in position to miss a fight - settling himself on grounds that in what's been shared of the aftermath it doesn't sound as if they'd had too few to fight.]

[He'll ask about the birthday and the changes in a minute, but right now - he's worried.]

Tragically your best bet might be to just wait it out, for now. Play nice they'll probably start to trust you again.

You know what the best way to deal with being grounded is? Jump out your bedroom window. Loudly! So your parents hear. And when they rush to see what's happening, run away from them - backwards, with both middle fingers raised in a perfect double deuce - while screaming "CAN'T BE TAMED, SUCK MY DICK."

After you do this a few times they will decide it is easier to just let you do what you want! You're welcome.

Yeah, the snay, snakes are new, and I'm not a fan.
