Sorry for the suddenness of this. It's Reilanin.

I got an echo a little while back. A week or two. I wasn't sure- I'm still not sure what it is. I know it's not the transformation yet. I haven't gotten anything or remembered anything like other times.

Do you have any ideas? I really don't know how reliable anything else is to go on.

Mm. Yes, our other selves knew one another. We found it out the first time we met... after I'd joined the Network. At the meeting at the church.

How odd. I think there are a few people where that happened to them, but I have yet to come across anyone that this other fellow "knew". The closest I came was a psychotic military fellow who is no longer among our number, and that was, I am fairly sure, just someone like someone the other fellow knew.

How are you two managing with that?

We've had several echoes together. None of them have been especially pleasant. I'm starting to think there wasn't anything pleasant about this past I'm getting back.

There's not much to be done, really. It's... not a comfort, exactly, but. I think I prefer having the company, if you know what I mean.

...yours had a group? I wonder if mine ever did.

A pack, and yes, he did. I get the feeling it was very, very important to him, too.

[He's already well aware what it's called, and he's a bit worried about what that might mean about him, in the future.]

I am glad you have someone in particular to go through this with. Alex is a kind soul, vampire aspect nonwithstanding.

Yes, I'm surprised he's willing to continue concerning himself with me... it probably isn't helping him at all, either. Though I suppose, in the end, it won't really matter. We get echoes regardless.



What kind of person was your other? Do you know?

Intelligent. Thorough and detail-oriented. Manipulative and secretive. I don't know yet whether he was a good person at heart or not, but I'm afraid I can guess the answer.
