As if friendship has anything to do with doing things for each other. You're my friend because your my friend. It's not something you can analyze or make sense out of, it's just what it is.

I wouldn't be friends with anyone if it weren't for this and it's far too late to change that now.

[[another sigh, this time with some soft muttering in Japanese. The word 'baka' could be heard, but not much else]]

We're going out to the woods so I can practice with Diabound once it's evening. And then we're playing video games. And if you say one word about how you're useless, I'm gonna smack you upside the head, got it?

[Wide-eyed blinking, slight tensing of ambivalence - first impulse overall was to respond that you really don't have to, but particularly in light of everything that's been said he figures the kind of response he'd have coming. [Anthony looks sharply up at the knocking from where he is in his usual passing-time spot on the sofa scanning the network, sheet of paper in hand, slouching on forearms resting just above his knees - base inclination is to snap to be on alert. The sharp tension slips in one split second. Hangs back for another on not looking forward to opening that door - might be too bright out, and look much worse looking in in person than on the network.

He leverages that down when he starts working himself up to stand. Takes a momentary glance over to a window to read the light and throws his hood on - it's setting; it'll not be that bad, likely. Shuffles his way over.

When the lock of the door clicks open, he gives it a jerk back to open halfway. Edges into the opening - not looking much more than meekly discomfited. With his gait and and posture the way there are he's likely to even look just a bit shorter than Bakura, but that isn't a thing that occurs to him consciously.]

Hey. [[grins with a wave. He's wearing his black trench coat this time, and has a bag slung over his shoulder.]] Ready to go trek out into the woods?

[A greeting that normal after all allows for one of his sheepish smiles, a slightly brow-knitted hesitant nod.] -- I am... But uhm -- ...are you... sure - it's - ...going to be - clear - enough to get - there...?

If anyone spots you and makes a face, just tell them we're going to shoot a video. It's only about a month til Halloween, it's fine. And if you keep your hood up, I'm sure no one'll notice.

Oh yeah, c'I stash this here? [[holds up the bag]] Snacks from Grandma and video games for later.

[He was about to voice one of another few misgivings on those statements when Bakura held up the bag. He blinks with his brows elevated a tad - he really brought over that much! - glances sideways at the door as he pulls it open a little more, edges a little sideways along with it.] -- Of course -- ...Uh - do you want to or should I...?

[[nods, setting the bag down where Anthony had indicated]]

Stiffening up a bit? Sucks. Means your reflexes aren't gonna be anywhere as good as you need to properly button mash later, huh?

[Internal chill on hearing it worded and said by an outsider - all the more sickeningly grave thing to hear now, with it all at its new degree, any pun unintended, but he suppresses that to breathe out a short and indulgent "ha..." on that last.]

They, erm -- might not be - ...

[He'd not know. He also surely need not state that he'd not know - Bakura's already here; Anthony thinks he'll gratefully resign himself to so-to-speak playing along, as much as stays within reason.]

Means I'm going to have to actually bring a game you need skill to play next time, huh? [[His tone is light and casual as he starts outside, expecting Anthony to follow]] Maybe Monster Fight... since that's turn based. Ever play that one before? Ah! Or do you have the Magic deck I made you still?

[He simply looks from the bag to Bakura with a few different next thoughts drifting about - one to confirm whether to follow, and one to answer that in the affirmative, and one on the vague thought that there's some joke in this...] Are you -- ...sure it won't kill me, if I play cards with you?

[Hopefully that came off in sufficiently lighthearted spirit!]

Aaa... [[Bakura falters just a moment, scratching at his cheek before rubbing the back of his neck with a small laugh]] Pretty sure! Maybe it's best sticking to video games, just to be sure....

[Small, rueful breath-only laugh in kind - at least that was received well enough!

Sound complete, meanwhile, his attention wanders back to the bag - then coasts into the apartment, glancing up an down, then redirects to Bakura.] -- Is that... - everything - ?

[Everything that needed be done before they go ahead and leave, that is - if so this seems a little of a sudden stepping-out, but that isn't unwelcome.]

Un! [[smiles]] All I need with me is in here, after all! [[smiles, putting a hand over his heart]] And it wouldn't do any good to summon him here! Especially if that changed...

...A lightbulb does spark, and a positive one in a handful of ways. Brows edge upward lightly.]

You think it might be - him - who -- ...has changed - ? -- Is that, er - why you decided to practice -- ...today? [On the last word, the effective yes to the previous question finally registers properly - pulling up his hood, a glance over a hunched shoulder, he shuffles through the doorway to join Bakura bringing the door shut behind him - ]
