I haven't been on here yet and wanted to go ahead and introduce myself. I'm Tamara Osada and a student in college majoring in both computer programming and web design.

I'm getting myself caught up and do wish to thank the people who have posted summaries of events to make it easier. For now I'd just like to say hi and if any of my computer skills could be of use I will be glad to offer them. I admit, I don't know what to think of all this still, but I can tell I should not be ignoring it.

[Nope, not too long, mostly because her dorm is very close by. Tamara will walk over to the table and she's smiling.]

They don't seem too bad. At the very least it seems a way to keep informed. So what should I be wary of besides Sam?

[The way she says that, it's like she does know him, except she gave the impression she didn't.]

To be honest, I make it a point to be wary of everyone. You can't really take their intentions at face value.

Of course not. Everyone has something they want, some just have more selfish wants than others.

Heiresses, military, police... Do college students really have any business in this mess of a game? I mostly see a lot of delusion. They think they can actually have an impact right off the bat without laying the proper foundations.

I know I'm no one special. Just a normal girl who was smart enough to get a scholarship. Even once we have our degrees, we still need experience.

Precisely. All I'm seeing is a lot of clueless people diving headlong into something they haven't taken the time to learn more about.

And we're all confused and curious about it. I know my main question is "why me?" followed quickly by "what does this all mean?". Does anyone have that answer yet?

It's far too early to have an answer. Posting all our findings on that network is misguided at best. For all we know, there could be a mole in our midst.

And we have a catch 22 here. If no one shares findings, we get no answers. It sounds like someone is going to have to take a risk. Or someone starts putting knowingly false information on there and see how far that information travels.

Question is, does it necessarily have to be us taking the risks? We're merely civilians after all. We have our lives to attend to. There are those foolhardy enough to go at it but we shouldn't be inclined to do so unless we're at risk of personal loss.

[Thinking in terms of marketing and finance. You don't lay anything on the line unless you know you can afford it. It's a slower way to build wealth but it's safer.]

We may already be taking one just by having received what we have. We keep our own risk to a minimum and do nothing beyond our ability.

Initially. One can serve in the army without volunteering for the front lines.

The army also gives far more information and training than we've received.

All the more reason to fall back into reserve whenever possible. There's no shortage of foolhardy individuals who are willing to step up to the front.

Why would I want to do a thing like that? People get hurt or die that way.

[Tamara would return the smile, except she just got a rather disturbing vision of herself and causing someone to get hurt. Another one of those with another strange man and herself at a younger age. What in the heck is all this?]

I have no plans to be. I only want to know what all these things mean, but not so much I'd risk my life for it.

That's all I wished to know. Putting one's self first appears to be frowned upon these days but you can't exactly help others if you're not alive to do it.
