I haven't been on here yet and wanted to go ahead and introduce myself. I'm Tamara Osada and a student in college majoring in both computer programming and web design.

I'm getting myself caught up and do wish to thank the people who have posted summaries of events to make it easier. For now I'd just like to say hi and if any of my computer skills could be of use I will be glad to offer them. I admit, I don't know what to think of all this still, but I can tell I should not be ignoring it.

I am! I'm a freshman. I haven't chosen a major yet though.

I'm a sophomore. Last year at this time I was trying to decide and just ended up picking two.

What made you decide on programming and web design?

It's also my hobby and I may as well learn enough to make a living from them. I already do make some money from designing websites.

Oh, that's great! I hope I can find something I really like to choose as a major. -- Um! You're finding everything all right here so far? Do you have any questions? I just connected myself but if there's anything I can help you with please let me know.

I hope you do as well. What matters most is that you enjoy it because you'll be spending a lot of time learning about it.

I should be fine though. I know to avoid the dangerous stuff and leave that to people more capable.

Very true. And then you'll hopefully make a career out of it. It's a little overwhelming to think about... Okay! Even so, feel free to ask me if you ever need anything.

And then all this stuff on top of it. As if we didn't have enough to worry about with classes and exams and projects.

The same goes to you. I'm also happy to help with classes.

Exactly! But we'll manage somehow. I believe that things will work out in the end. Oh, wow, thank you! That's so kind of you.

There's no need for any of us to have our grades suffer over all this. If the only way I can help is to tutor other students, then I'll help in that small way.

Well, I know I appreciate it! School is going to be hard to focus on between this and work.

Oh, you have a job as well? That must be harder to have to work, study and deal with all of this.

I do. Thankfully it's family owned, though! It's a tea parlor.

Oh? Which one? Maybe I'll stop by sometime for some tea.

That would be great! It's called Posies. We're known for a very wide variety of tea and desserts that most places don't carry.

[And Tamara is already plugging it into google maps to find out where it is in relation to her dorm.]

Anything is a welcome change from dorm food, but I do enjoy tea a lot and I am just not as good at brewing it as my father is.

It can be really tricky. I've gotten pretty good at it over the years. My grandmother is a pro at it though!
