Darkest Shadow
When I walk to the edge of the world, I see
all over that the universe is a bright and dark thing,
like Mercury ^{(is it Mercury? whichever planet is only really hot on one side and really cold on the other because of the sun. I believe it is Mercury. Check later.)}
like Mercury or a magnet or a heater that doesn't work.
And in the darkest side, the half,
you have the lonely shriveled plants
no petals
just thors thorns and thistles.
All bear their misery lonely,
believing that love is a lie
a trick of the nonexistent light
as they are crushed
under the weight mass.

Well, I'm sure Mercury gets hotter than the moon, but if you're going for bright and dark...

I mean, you've seen the moon right? One side's definitely dark and one side's definitely bright.
