Well this is new, and I certainly didn't expect to find a community or whatever this is here. Most likely some student project? Hard to say when everything written appears to be random. Pretty well made though, doesn't seem glitchy and by that I mean it hasn't melted my phone yet.

I'll get around to testing that out on someone else's phone.

I've seen a few phones melt, though not due to networks. Yet. There's always something that'll make it happen. Like I said, I'll test it on someone else's phone.

What would possibly make a phone melt? Apart from a fault in the phone itself.

Well if a battery doesn't have the circuitry to shut down the power, that would make your phone melt when doing mundane things on it.

Still can't see why something like this network would cause something like that to happen. It's not as though phones are the only way to access it.

Yes... As I said, it didn't do a very good job at explaining things, but I suppose they didn't wish to spread any information. Unfortunately very few seem to have answers for why, if any at all. It's mostly theories and baseless conjectures.

Well, what other networks do you know of that allow you to access it by any and all means possible?

But how complicated could a network like this possibly be? Why make something that could remotely damage phones if it can be accessed with a piece of scrap paper?

It seems like a waste of resources.

In order to have a network like this accessible by all means, it has to be using up some serious power source somewhere. Just the ability to broadcast it through many different channels, including the paper and such, means the tower emitting it has some serious kick to it. I'm not stating that it will melt my phone. Only that it potentially could.

And you think you can potentially trace it back or something. Or at least cause it to melt someone else's phone.

What if it doesn't follow your little theory? Which I assume is that everything around here has gained some sort of communicative radiation, including an individual’s body.

Then it's back to the drawing board. At the end of the day there's no evidence to support anything right now, though I refuse to believe things just magic themselves up. Everything has to come from somewhere in the end.

There are several civilisations out there that would argue that magic also has to come from somewhere.

I see your point though. Chances are if you find out what makes the network actually work, it could also answer a lot of other questions about this place.

I'm just more concerned that somethinhg like this can be done, and hidden very well from the public. Someone out there had to set the whole thing up to begin with.

I don't know. I'm sure they know how cliché it is too. They could at least come up with something slightly more believable.

It's entirely possible. The general consensus is an "us vs. them" mentality, but most of us don't really know anything about each other. And if they're inviting animals (yes, animals) and teenagers, then who knows who else could be invited.

The civilisations might not be around but, from what I can remember, the Wicca religion follows a similar idea. It's on your shoulders if you want to call out their religion for the sake of science.

That's what you're concerned about. Not the fact that somehow we all end up with a string of numbers stuck in our heads? Or that people are apparently mutating and seeing things?

If Wiccans can bring solid evidence, I'll be more than happy to listen to them. Not that I'll be going around throwing science in their faces, either. It would be a two way discussion.

Reading some of the things on here I'm concerned for a lot of things. [Especially his students.] I just wonder who pressed the on switch.
