Okay, so, since my last post, here's what I've figured out from stalking y'all's posts. This is all information I've found publicly anyway so the cat's already out of the bag.

1. Time scales for when we got our numbers are all over the place. We're talking ranges from four years ago to the week before the first of us started using this network. Most of them seem to have occurred closer to now, but there's not much of a real pattern.

2. However, everyone got a pink light and a weird heartbeat like sound. Or most of us, anyway.

3. People seem to be... changing, in reaction to things. I'm not going to make a list of all changes public, especially not the physical ones, as those can be used to identify us. But I will say: some people have changed physically in impossible ways. Some people have gotten unusual powers or abilities. And some of us have gotten memories not our own.

Point is: we're changing, somehow. All of us.

I don't like it. None of it makes sense.

Anyway, so... I'm a licensed pilot. I'm thinking of renting out a plane this weekend for a few hours to see if I can't see anything from the air. Dunno if it'll help, but I always find looking down from above clears my head. Anyone who wants to come is welcome, though I'd appreciate it if you could pitch in for the rental cost.

It'll be $130 an hour, so it depends on how long we're out. And now you know why I don't fly very often!

We can divide up the costs and try to keep it short.

Maybe visions is a better word. They're not quite dreams, that's for sure.

I wonder if that means that we all are going to change. I mean, so far I've only got memories and a book I didn't have before. But others have less memories and more... physical things, as I understand it.

[An uncomfortable pause.] Unless strange cravings count as a physical change, I guess.

We haven't spoken before, but I know a place that'll give you a 'strange numbers' discount on a plane. Might bring down the cost a bit.

You are now my new best friend. Where is this place? And what kind of planes you got? I'm only trained for a single prop engine but man oh man... maybe something with extra seats. Or better speed...

Sure. A bit more business couldn't hurt, right? Besides, I can sympathise with wanting to get up there for any reason. No matter how much you fly it's never quite enough, is it?

Let me see... If you want to bring on passengers the best I've got is a Cessna 172, it's a four seater. There's also the Piper PA-28, but that one only takes on one passenger.

The hanger is over by the airstrip near Fort Turner. You know it?

Yep, since I was sixteen. It's expensive, but I wouldn't give it up for the world.

Kiddo, that was complaining. I have to admit some of this stuff is kinda neat, in its own way. I just wish I knew WHY it was happening. And why people want to kill us over it. We didn't even DO anything.

I think I'm jealous! I'd like to fly, I think, but it's not really ever something I've ever worked towards. Being on an airliner scarcely counts.

Aah, I suppose it was. Sorry! There are worse things than being boring - but I couldn't agree more. If someone's to try to kill us, they could at least have the decency to say why.
