Who: Shion/Xion and you!
What: WARKING. WARK WARK WARK. Also known as Shion doesn't have a social life lately. This needs to change badly.
When: Monday evening.
Where: Her part-time job at the ice cream shop!

It'd been a while since she'd touched her notebook. Of course-- some of it had had to do with her course work. And some of it with where she was at now. Summer jobs. Gotta love 'em. Or maybe not. But it was a good distraction. And okay for the most part. Save when the crazy kids made a mess of everything with their sticky fingers and their sugar rush antics. But there were perks to it, too. Like, you know. Free ice cream. And relatively happy customers. And was "good distraction" mentioned in that before? Ah, let's just list it again.

Only that was... really the thing that day. Because all that being said and done, it was only a good distraction if there were actually customers around. Which there.... weren't at the moment. Keeping busy in other ways could only go so far. Could only wipe down the counters, tables, and cases so many times before that got mundane and who knew when was the last time those windows got a good cleaning? Yeah... She wasn't about to touch those. But with some much time to kill yet...

She took a good look around back and forth to see if her co-worker was looking before starting to doodle onto the condensation of the case...

Right on the money there. Or. Almost lack there of. Still, didn't hurt to be attentive. Especially when, you know. Don't exactly wanna go messing up an order. She nodded all the same, grabbing a cone and scooping up some of the desired flavor. ...Oh. Right.

"How many scoops?"

"Just one." Not a sweets person at all. Honestly he might just stay in here for the AC if he's allowed.

Another nod over here and she offered the cone to him. It wasn't without a tilt of her head though and a small, curious smile. (Oh, look, Neku. You might just get away with loitering. She seems harmless enough, right?)

"Thanks." Neku manages a slight, awkward smile in return, reaching into his pocket to pull out his wallet before taking the cone. "How much is it...?"

She blinked at that before-- "Oh!" Right. Paying. That thing. She rattled off the amount, offering a hand out to take it when he was ready to give it. Though she couldn't help but say...

"Did you dye it?"

"Huh?" Neku looks up at her as he drops the money into her hand, puzzled for a moment before realizing what she was talking about. "My hair? Yea, it's dyed."

"I thought so. I- haven't seen anyone with hair like that before." Even while Shion made small talk, she was quick to pop open the till and count out the change. Soon enough, she was offering it to him though when she finally looked back at him, her smile turned sheepish.

"It looks- you. I mean I'm sure your real hair color is fine- just." Shion, use words. Stop staring at the floor, too. "Every time I see other people with their hair dyed, it makes me think I should try it." Only with her dark hair, really wondering if that would even be plausible. Better luck hoping for early graying as an excuse?

Neku takes the change, messing with his hair a little during this extremely awkward exchange. Not that he's helping that. "Um... thanks?" He assume she's trying to say it looks good. "Why don't you try? I mean, it can always be undone. Or redone, I guess."

"Do you think it could work on black though?" She pulled a strand of it in emphasis, eyeing Neku curiously. "I mean... What was your hair like before you got it dyed?" Really light hair was really easy to do all the things to, after all!

"Uh... black." Seriously, he's Asian. It's not hard to notice. "If you bleach it first, then the dye works."

Well, you never know, okay? ~~Yeah, okay. That was a dumb question.~~ Either or, that got a thoughtful look out of her.

"Bleach it... I guess that would make sense. Yeah... Maybe I'll try that then." And there was that coy smile again.

....Why is she smiling at him like that. He's not really sure what's going on here. "Yea, uh. You have to be kind of careful because... it's bleach, but."

Because people smile, Neku? ~~She swears she's not being creepy.~~ She nodded either way, falling just a little more on the serious side. "Yeah, doesn't that stuff really sting if you leave it on your skin too long?" Not to mention other things.

He's awkward ok shut up. "Yea. It's just... generally not a good thing to get on you."
