I have a few questions for the Network in general about echoes, if people would be so kind to answer them.

What do you think the echoes are?

What usually prompts your echoes?

What is the strangest incident that produced an echo? What is the most mundane? If you don't want to give specifics on an incident for either of these, some generalizations would still be appreciated.

Do you get echoes from the strange incidents that is usually associated with the alien things, Re: Wise Snake, the lights in Vegas, etc?

How many people remember other people on the Network in their echoes?

What do I think echoes are? [he frowns a little into the camera and shrugs.] Pieces of something else, another past or another person but someone who is somewhat like me.

What prompts them depends. Sometimes running into weird things brings a piece out. Sometimes I get the feeling that something has happened before. The strangest thing was a water pistol fight, the most mundane was getting stuck on a beach.

I'm not sure of the number but there are a few of them.

I've had that feeling to, of it happening before, though it was only twice. The rest have been strange incidents.

For me, it's mostly getting in proximity of the alien stuff. But I also got one off being called a really dumb nickname once. [Do not ask him the nickname. He will not say it.] My first one came because I got fed up with a lazy project partner. Alien stuff is consistent, but the rest is random as all hell.

So far only visuals have prompted my echoes. Which I happen to think are very real... memories. Of a person I used to be. Though I could've just come to that conclusion from what i've heard from others.

And while I did receive an echo from the lights in Vegas, I also think I managed to get one from a box of hats. Rather boring, that one.

That's a good question. I've had it explained that echoes were things related to an alternate version of yourself or something like one, and I haven't had reason to dispute that so far. Past lives is a common theory, though I'm not certain about that.

The causes of my own echoes are probably split about evenly, although lately more have been coming from incidents related to the alien or related phenomena as you mentioned. Most of the rest have come from discussing the person in my echoes or from my work, with the strangest being the trigger for an equally strange power I have.

I haven't yet encountered anyone I recognize from echoes, although I remember very few people as it is so that may change in the future.

An alternate version? Like alternate timelines? Did they mention what they think happened to that timeline that we see it now?

Discussing the person in your echoes? May I ask what your work is, or what the strange power is?

Someone told me they were past lives, so I'm running with that. So far Seeing someone else with the same physical manifestation prompted my own echo or pulse. I received pointed ears.

Neither one of my echos were prompted by any of the events that occurred. I was out of town for the Wise Snake and missed the light over Las Vegas.

I subscribe to the 'memories and powers of past lives' theory, as crazy as it is. But only because I haven't found a better one yet. Most of mine have come from random conversations, or freaky supernatural shit.

I have to say my weirdest one so far is the naked mole rat. Foooollowed by the energy blasts.

Most normal? Remembering Dr. Drakken, I guess. Despite the blue skin. Haven't met anyone on here that I'm 100% confident I remember, but there's a lot with the same kinds of powers that I'm getting back, so who knows.

Some people think it's alternate timelines. Though it does bring up the question of it just being both, to combine the supernatural elements that arise and the life isn't being presently lived.

The naked mole rat? How did you echo back the blasts?

Though I was asking what was the most normal prompt of an echo. Like meeting a certain person or something like taht.

does anyone know what they really are or even have a good idea? the past live stuff really does seem as likely as anything but theyre from like the future and other worlds so its still bs

ive gotten them from lots of weird things like trying to protect someone and fake swordfighting but also from alien things idk none of them were super weird except the one time anais told me about hers and i got like five at once and blacked out for a second from the overload

I'm wondering if it might be the alternate timelines, which could in theory also still be past lives if that life is not being lived currently. If the rules of the world itself is different, like it can be in alternate timelines, it would explain the weirder occurrences.

I think the past lives theory is fairly likely. Most often I get them from getting involved in matters connected to the network, such as the lights in Vegas. I don't really have anything that stands out as stranger than the rest, but the most mundane is perhaps related to my past self's name. I don't remember anyone from the network.
