Who Åsa (
vaimo ) and Siiri (
hustru ) / Floweregg
What They got a puppy!!
When last week of Feb
Where Siiri's apartment
Warnings Teeth rotting fluff
Since Siiri's hands were full of puppy, Åsa nudged her out of the way to unlock the door to her apartment and let them in. Just as well she'd added that key to her own set. Not that she wouldn't have; it's safest there. Even though Åsa can be a bit of a ditz, her keys are one thing that she always keeps safe. If she put it in a 'safe place' at home it would never surface again.
Pushing open the door, Åsa shifts to hold it while toeing off her shoes. "Still got her?" She asks, a little worried, as she looks at the squirming ball of fluff. Sooner they can get in safely and shut the door behind them the better. Her own hands are full of shopping bags from the rescue centre, full of everything they'll need to get their new puppy started at home. They'll have to do a trip for more food soon since Åsa's priority was getting Siiri everything that was needed immediately rather than looking to the long term (and they had to get everything home too), but Åsa certainly won't complain for the excuse to drop by again later this week. That's probably why she's already thinking of this as 'their' puppy, even when in reality she's Siiri's. She just hopes that having someone around the house - even if it's someone who can't talk back - will help Siiri feel more settled and less lonely. And if not, well, taking the puppy on walks will at least make sure that Siiri gets out for reasons that aren't university or work!

When the door is closed, she'll be put down carefully and then the Finn will take off her shoes as quickly as possible before following her. Keeping an eye on her but letting her explore.

"Shall I set up her bed here or in your room?"

Floweregg decides to follow after Åsa when she carries the bed over, so all three of them end up in the bedroom anyway. The puppy peers at the bed curiously once it is put down. Clearly it has some meaning, but what that is escapes her at the moment.

It's not really working, the walls are a bit high.

Looking up at Siiri again as she strokes the puppy in her lap she smiles. "We need to think of a name."

I FEEL LIKE WE'VE DONE THIS BEFORE what a problem

"It was only Floweregg."

"I like Floweregg! But she's your puppy."

She'll peer up at Siiri, hopefully. Maybe there is help to be gotten from this end.
Siiri... just looks down at the dog, thoughtfully, as one arm loosely drapes over Åsa (totally just to accommodate her leaning better) and the other hand rests on her thighs - two hands on the puppy seem like that would scare her. She's considering it.
And completely missing the meaning of the peers that the dog gives her. Please no. Say no.

Åsa snuggles into Siiri's side with a quiet, pleased noise. This is nice. Of course the snuggling is nothing to do with encouraging Siiri to take her side! "I hope she settles in. If you need someone else to keep an eye on her so you can sleep you can always call me."

And about the name... "Floweregg, for now."

Still. Waking up and having someone there, having someone to share breakfast with... it sounds lovely. If that's what that her past self got to have then Åsa is a little jealous.
"Floweregg it is, then! Maybe we'll get some more memories of the old Floweregg from her too."

not like she can do anything about this, though, so she'll instead climb out of Siiri's lap and see what else the apartment holds in interesting things.
The woman stays where she is for the moment, only looking after the puppy as she sniffs and pads around the room. "Are you staying for dinner?"

...On the other hand they should probably follow Floweregg before she gets her nose into something that she shouldn't. So, very reluctantly, she pushes herself up onto her feet and brushes herself off, then follows the dog. Normally she'd offer a hand to help Siiri up too, but right now she's worried about letting the puppy out of their sight.

And Åsa ordering is a relief. Less having to talk to people on the phone.
