I've heard stories. That they were small [she indicates a height by uncrossing her arms and holding one straight downwards, the hand tilting so her hand works as a makeshift measuring mark] and quite ugly. Hairy and old and covered in the dust of coal. [She straightens up a bit, only to lean her head to the other side. Mock observing.] Though you seem taller than most. And younger. And covered in horse and not coal.

[She feels cornered - the whole situation made her feel cornered before she even got here, what with herself caring about someone, something, so much that the situation would make her cry - even if it was in a former life, that freaks her out.
