Video | I lift my glass to the Awful Truth
[Fay is looking equal parts annoyed and amused, a strange mix, leaning against what looks like a kitchen counter. In the background, a party seems to be going on. Fay himself is dolled up in skintight leopard spots, a tail and a pair of ears that have slipped slightly askew.]
I appreciate that people've been getting some pretty fucking weird memories and abilities and what not, but I ain't sure anyone's gotten anything as stupid as what I think just happened to me.
[He grabs a bottle from the counter, which appears to have a fair share of alcohol in it. Upending it, he completely drains it, making a faint grimace at the sharp taste but otherwise not seeming to react very much at all. He stands still as if waiting for something for a short while, and then shakes his head.]
Nothing. I don't feel a single goddamn thing. And this ain't even the first I've had, you know?
[He sighs a bit mournfully, putting the bottle down.] I ain't sure if this is some kinda vampire thing that just happened or what, but alcohol doesn't seem to do very much at all. I think I'm getting a faint buzz, but by now I should probably be unconscious in a puddle of rather recycled food. I ain't complaining about that part, but seriously?
And if this ain't more useless than a screen door on a submarine, then I really don't know what. [Yep, that's pretty much it folks.]

...How long is it usually supposed to take to get drunk?
[She's really curious for a thirty-two year old.]
After almost a whole bottle of alcohol all at once? Shouldn't take more than five seconds. [He grins, winking.] But yeah, it usually depends on how much you drink, you know?
So if, hypothetically, someone hadn't had alcohol since college, hadn't ever gotten drunk then, and years later found out she had never gotten drunk, no matter how many bottles she drank... that would be weird?
I~iiii would say that it's pretty strange, yet. I mean, some people take alcohol better than others, but from what you say... I'd say that hypothetically that person is in the same situation as I am.
[She rubs her chin in thought.]
Now... suppose this person also noticed someone else who seems to have the opposite problem. Is that weird too?
How about you? The... no-getting-drunk thing going well? Ish?
[But it's said kindly, with a warm smile to accompany it.]
And well, I'm just gonna have to learn to deal. Ain't no difference from the claws and all the other stuff, 'cause it ain't like we can do much about it anyways.
