[When the audio feed opens up, Hajime sounds rather angry about something. Not distressed, but certainly angry.]

I'm not even sure what the hell these pulses think they're doing anymore, but now I need someone to bring me a shirt. No questions, just a shirt.

[He is so irritated right now. So very irritated. Doesn't help that an earlier Echo shortened his fuse a little bit...]

Everything all right?

[Because he's a little unsure whether that was anxiety, embarrassment, frustration, or just plain annoyance. Earplugs are annoying, man. He's gotten good enough at picking out words, but tone still eludes him a bit. He's gotta get used to this hearing thing....]

So long as you're all right. Did anyone bring you a shirt?

((psst, what time is this happening so I know whether Lyall is free? :3 ))

Let me know if it's terrible, and I will come with something more appropriate, how's that :)

Not appreciably. I have earplugs now, however, which help. They just make everything a tab bit muffled, which can make it difficult to read tone sometimes.

There is that. Though I'm hoping that I get used to the hearing, so I can go without them, eventually. The earplugs simply aren't viable long-term. They do get uncomfortable after a couple hours, and I've already had one student notice them and ask about them.

I told her I had an ear infection, and they were helping. I suppose that excuse will last for a couple weeks, at most. Perhaps I can find some smaller ones, or perhaps one of us on the network is or knows a discrete audiologist who can build me custom ones.

I'll see. With any luck, I can get more used to this and go without. Obviously the fellow I'm getting all these from had no trouble with it.

[Though that fellow also didn't have to deal with rampant electricity and constant traffic, either.]

I'm not sure whether that thought is comforting is disturbing. At least if it's true, then I could suddenly wake up tomorrow and be all right again with my ears.
