I'm back. Sorry for disappearing for so long, there was a tad bit of trouble back home. And obviously something happened *here*. Would anyone care to fill me in?

Please reply via text if you can. Whatever that something was, it did something to my hearing and my voice when I tried to track it down. I have a dreadful headache now.

[And sounds like he's British, but he's trying not to let on about that, even if a little of the older accent is slipping into his text, too. He's hoping he can make it go away if he tries hard enough.]

Your hearing? Let me guess, you can suddenly hear a lot better than you could before, and everything sounds a lot louder than it should?

Painfully so, yes. Rather like when my sense of smell suddenly turned into what it is now, only with my hearing.

I assume it's another of those werewolf things, but it's damned inconvenient. I have classes to teach on Monday. In a high school, not exactly known for being quiet.

Sounds familiar. Not personally, but I've had two friends go through the same thing.

Oh, man, ouch. I'd recommend ear plugs - they have skin colored ones that you can't really notice unless you're looking for them, and it worked for one of my friends, put his hearing back down to a normal level until he could adjust.

Wait, werewolf? You know that for sure?

Oh, very sure. I change on the full moon and everything.

It's good to know earplugs have been successful before. A friend suggested them to me, already, so I will have to try them. Do you mind if I ask who exactly had this same problem that I am having? I know one other person who had the smell issue, like I did, and who may also be a werewolf.

Is that, uh. Safe?

Neither of them are hiding it from the network, as far as I know, so I should be safe telling you. Derek's having the hearing problem, and Monroe has both the hearing thing and now an enhanced sense of smell. And they can both hear dog whistles, so there might be something to that werewolf thing for them, too.

It could just be the enhanced hearing, in Derek's case. I'm pretty sure I could hear something higher pitched than a human could hear, myself, dog or not.

I wouldn't mind getting in touch with them, though, as I seem to be further along than either one, and it could be werewolf, or it could be something else entirely. I don't suppose you have their network numbers, or would feel comfortable sharing them if you do?

Yeah, true. He had some vision thing recently, too, but I don't know if that's related.

I don't have Derek's, but I've got Monroe's, and I don't mind giving it out, if it'll help. I can only help him figure it out so much, someone who's going through the same stuff might be good.

Good idea. He'd be cranky at me if he got a message before I had a chance to tell him about it, anyway.

I'm Nick, by the way. This might sounds strange, but does the name Grimm mean anything to you?

Randall Lyall, biology teacher at Lock High. And I'm afraid not. Not beyond Grimm's fairy tales, anyhow.

I figured as much, but it was worth a shot. Monroe had a pulse about them, so I thought maybe if you guys were both werewolves, you'd both have heard of them.

Apparently they can tell when someone isn't human, but that's all I've got.

Interesting. I wonder if it really is connected to the fairy tell authors, or if it's a coincidence.

Honestly, at this point, nothing would surprise me.

Considering how varied everyone's visions and changes have been, very little would surprise me, either. From what I've seen so far, the fellow I'm catching glimpses of knew Queen Victoria personally.

Really? Hell, maybe he was royalty. A werewolf prince, that sounds like the kind of thing the Grimm brothers would write about.

Somehow I doubt it. He dressed well, but not *that* well. More I believe he was some kind of employee to the crown, though just what that position was, I haven't the faintest idea.
