Kinda. The modern day stuff is batshit insane all around. But that duo has one of the artifacts that was made by the slaughter of Egyptian me's village.

One of my first flashbacks was them being made. Had no idea what the hell it was or who it was. Every time Grandma makes dinner? Get to relive that one again and again. Big surprise, Egypt Bakura was rather shaken by seeing everyone he knows get melted down into gold!

I guess I just try to not make assumptions about anyone. Everyone's trying to live through this as best they can. We may be isolated, but we're not alone. Forcing myself to realize that when I feel disconnected from everything keeps my head above the water.

The people I hate are long dead and likely not even in this world. But the hate still lives on and I don't want it to fuck up things like it did before.

Fuck just thinking about it gets my blood boiling. This is what turned Diabound into a demon, all this hate and I'm trying to get rid of it but it's fucking impossible with this goddamned mess with the water stirs it up all the damned time.

You feel protective because you want to do right by him this time. You don't want to let him get swallowed up by the anger. Revenge... is a cycle. So is the hatred it causes, isn't it?

What happens if you try to think of a path through this that isn't part of that cycle?
