[The webcam feed opens to show Hajime's darkened apartment. The lights are off, the curtains are drawn, and a hulking figure can be seen moving around in the shadows. He's moving too fast and too much to get a clear look at him for very long, though the green orb on his chest is slightly luminescent. He's so distraught, he hasn't realized he even activated the webcam. He thought he was just switching on the mic for audio.]

I...I can't stay here. I can't let anyone find me like this. But I don't think I can get out of here on my own without anyone seeing me...

[Hajime is doing his best to keep his voice calm, but there's no denying the fact that he sounds quite shaken. It's still recognizable as his voice, although it sounds a little rougher than usual.]

I changed. I...tried to fight it, but...it...it was just like I remembered...and I can't hide the belt anymore, not that it matters...

[He is this close to having a massive freakout right then and there. Staying calm after turning into some kind of a bug monster is really hard, especially when you were normal--or as close to normal as Hajime gets these days--an hour ago. He's going through the room, trying to figure out what, if anything, he'll be bringing with him when he leaves. It's at this point that he realizes the webcam's on, and a green, clawed, and definitely inhuman hand will reach out to cover it.]

[Though Lyall can watch the video, he doesn't have a webcam-- still-- so all Hajime can get is his voice. When he finally speaks, it's firm, no sign of the tremor he would've had if he'd said something before he'd gotten his emotions at least mostly under control.]

I've got room. And I'm already expecting you in a couple nights, anyway. You can stay here as long as you need.

[Not to mention he's already monster-proofed half his house. Not that he expect Hajime to be a rampaging beast, but at least he'll have less to break.]

Do you need me to come get you?

[Lyall's voice sounding firm is oddly comforting. He needs people being relatively calm, and he knows Lyall at least has to understand how this feels on some level.]

I'd...I'd really appreciate that.

[There's a note of relief in his voice.]

I'm not sure. Probably. We may wheel me out in a box or rent a truck or something, but I'm kind of heavy.

[Heavy and covered in sharp pointy bits. Nothing could go wrong.]

[Lyall is a teacher, after all. He knows that keeping calm and sounding at least marginally in control helps keep other people calm and in control. And this... seems like something that needs calmness.]

We can drape you with a blanket if needs must. Are you... bigger than you were? I can't really tell, it's too dark in there. If you will still fit in a medium-sized car, we should be fine.

I'm a lot bigger, yeah. Taller, broader...it's kind of awkward.

[Hajime has never been a very big guy, and now he's built like a tank. Just another adjustment on top of being a giant bug.]

I think I'll fit in the car, if I can have the entire back seat.

[There's a pause.]

I'm...uh...going to apologize in advance for anything that might happen to your upholstery.

[He goes quiet again.]

Would renting a truck be better?

I've got cover! I'll get him down, you get him out?

You've got cover? What do you mean, Bakura?

[Because "cover" and "down" could mean any number of things, and he wants to be clear here before making any decisions.]

Hold on a moment, Hajima, apparently Bakura has some sort of plan? Maybe pack a few things you think you might need. Even... ah, as you are now, so we can be ready.

For smuggling him out of the building without causing much attention. If we only need to get to your car, it's a lot easier than pretending to cart him down the sidewalk!

I've been getting things I need, I think...

[He's going to wind up with a duffel bag full of random possibly-useful objects because what is thinking straight and planning well when you've just turned into a giant bug? What sort of toiletry needs does a giant bug even have, anyway? At least he's remembered a toothbrush.]

And I'll stay put. It's not like I'm going to try to go out on my own anyway.

[He knows the boy doesn't like his car much.]

Meet you there? ... er, Hajime, where do you live? I'm afraid I don't have your address.

[Hajime gives him his address, which is an apartment building located between Japantown and the university.]

You have no idea how glad I am I didn't move back home after college right now...

I think I can imagine. I'll be there in half an hour. Bakura, I'll meet you there.
